Conveniently located & suited our overnight stay

Chose this property as close to where we wanted to go for Whale Watching.

Toaster was faulty. They should replace it.

Very clean and good size rooms, would stay again.

Motel was clean and tidy, it is by the side of the main road but was not affected by road noise. Short but (depending of which way you go) steep route down to sea front. The room was affected by a group of motorcyclists who were somewhat noisy.

Comfortable but basic with no frills. Everything we needed for an overnight stay. On the main road but noise not an issue for us. Need to walk or drive to shops and eating places.

This place was nice except for the staff. We never felt very welcome. We asked for milk once and were questioned about possibly drinking it. We stayed for 3 nights and never asked for anything else. We very rarely ever saw anyone in the office and the man that we spoke with was very brusque and unsmiling.

Easily accessible alongside the main State Highway 1, which does mean that there is quite a bit of road noise that can be heard in the rooms, however, it does go quieter at night. It is also an easy 10/15 walk into town, although it is all uphill on the way back. Check in and Check out were functional rather than done with any great show of cheerfulness. Everything, though was well maintained and clean. The room was a good size with a decent area for food preparation, with a sink, microwave, fridge and kettle. There is also a handy Guest Laundry (coin operated) between rooms 1 & 2.

Here is the first stop of my trip. The room is very clean and has a good location! I can see the Mountain View from my window. There is no air conditioning in the room but I don’t think this is necessary as it is a bit cold even in the summer.

Just what was needed for a 1 night stay. Helpful check in.

Beautiful property. Very nicely appointed room. Right near park with gorgeous view of the mountains. A little away from the traffic of downtown, but still walkable, or only a couple minutes by car.

Clean and tidy, handy to Restaurants, New World, Harmons Car Museum, Peninsula walk. Great time in Kaikōura.

We only needed one nights stay. Nice clean room and friendly reception. Recommended :)
