Booked this last minute so our options were limited and mostly about $100 more per night. A big plus was our family suite we chose, 2 separate bedrooms with a shared bathroom in the middle. Perfect. Main room was very big. For what we paid we felt like we had a fantastic deal. You can't get any better for this price. Definitely recommend.

I booked this motel as the options were limited due to car week.. extremely over priced for what you get.
The location wasn’t bad, we had to park in the dirt. We stayed in the main house which the layout of the room was convenient.
The beds were not very comfortable and I didn’t feel like things get cleaned well.
The carpet looked and felt dirty and the doors etc looked dirty, I do understand it’s an old house I just don’t understand how they can charge what they did.

I would love to go when the butterflies are here, very beautiful place , I would definitely come back and recommend this place. But I would like to request on staying on the single house. Not the two story one. I was on room 29. The guests upstairs came making a lot of noise. Walking up and down stairs. Other than that it was perfect.

The main house we stayed in was so musty that all my clothes still smell. It was loud and you could hear everything going on around you. The shower head was super short and it felt awkward showering with it. The main door wouldn’t close but we did have a fridge with an okay freezer, microwave, and fans were available which is nice. The trail next go to the monarchs were closed so we didn’t get any feedback for those surrounding areas.

Spent one night here with my 3 year old during a visit to Monterey. Very friendly service. The room was very clean and spacious, which was great for us. I was happy to have a fridge and microwave, and the green space and pool and hot tub were well maintained.
The rooms aren’t particularly updated, but it’s a great value and I will definitely come back with the whole family!

Very nice inn! Clean comfy room. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine in the room which was very nice. Friendly staff. They allow dogs. There is a small grassy area in front of the room to walk a dog if needed. There is bigger field right outside of the property. They have pool and Jacuzzi (but I haven't had a chance to use it). Butterfly sanctuary is literally starts on the same property. There is a cafe at walkable distance from the property. I'll definitely come back again.

Our room in the old house was the biggest hotel room we've ever stayed in! So nice having so much space! My only complaint is walls/floor are very thin. We could hear everything below us and our downstairs neighbor came up to tell us they could hear us walking around :/ Wouldn't recommend 2nd story for anyone with little kids (like us).

Just a 1 night stay with my adult daughter who was visiting. Everything was perfect
Clean, cozy, comfy, charming. Lovely little fireplace too! We slept like babies. Just outside our room in the butterfly sanctuary… there were hundreds of wild Calla Lilies and a few scattered wildflowers. Such an enchanting setting. It will be our -#1 recommendation for our out of town guests. Thank you!

Check-in was good. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and accommodating. The room had everything we needed, but it definitely wasn’t like the pictures online. This place is need of an update. Our room smelled musty, like something was wet and not dried out. Could be really nice with an update. Super convenient to the 17 mile drive!
