Nice property

The bathroom is a problem. There are no walls or doors, just a curtain to close it off from the rest of the room. This means that there's no soundproofing. When you brush your teeth, shower, or use the toilet, the person you are sharing the room with will hear everything. Also, the way that it is built, water can, and did for us (3 times), leak from the shower area to the toilet area. This is a not-insignificant blemish on an other otherwise great hotel.

Our hotel room was good, clean and quiet. There was also a big pool. The only thing I would improve is to put more lights in the room, especially at the washstand, since we felt that it was a little dark. But overall, we liked the hotel.

The Royal was a lovely hotel in an excellent area. The staff kind and extremely helpful, even walking us through a recipe for a drink we loved and providing us with plenty of the key ingredient to take home with us! Highly recommend their spa, also.

The property is beautiful, especially the pool areas. Good room service food options and lots of bars. The gym is okay but could use some more free weights. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The rooms aren’t exactly soundproof so if you’re a light sleeper it can be a little noisy. The one negative I would say is that the service on the rooftop was pretty slow overall. The staff was all very friendly and pleasant and some of them worked quickly but at times it took forever to get a drink and you always had to go up to the bar for service. There is usually plenty of staff in the area and it would add a lot to the hotel if they walked around taking orders. But overall, excellent stay and great value for what you pay.

This location is excellent and the room was absolutely beautiful. You want to stay a bit away from the bustle of the river where the partying can go to all hours of the morning. This was quiet and nice. The staff are helpful and jump to it. The free bikes are a nice touch. The gym is great, pool area and rooftop. All in all 5 ⭐️’s!! We’d stay here again!

Nice view of the river and great rooftop pool and bar.

We had a nice room with a river and pool view. It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom amenities were not the greatest but they were ok and they were clean. The staff was very helpful during the check in. Breakfast buffet was good. Restaurant staff’s clothes and furniture often had stains from food - not a sanitary look one would hope to see in an “luxurious” hotel. The service in the restaurant during breakfast was ok although not the greatest. Everyone seemed to be rushed. My husband swam in the pool and got sick afterwards so this is really not good. Quite a few things/amenities in the hotel look run down. Again, mostly ok but cannot be called luxurious. An ok stay but not as great as we hoped it to be.

Wonderful hotel very close to the ancient town. It's right near the night market, but still quiet enough. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean.

Best hotel in hoi an . buffet was sensational

Lovely property, issue we seen as in much of Vietnam is the rubish and plastick burning smell. To a stage where it burns your troat at times. The hotel was lovely and comfertabel as ypu whould exspect out of a property of this calerber and heritige. Staff seam to attend asian clients more than Australians or English as we see this at many hotels on out trips. More tipping we guess. Hotel pool is cool not cold briliant for kids and just to chill. Down town is like a small village and is in walking distance easy to nevigate after the friendly staff explaind where to go. We hired a motor bike 200dong a day and rode a round as it is not as bussy in this area. 15 min by bike.to the beach. The free push bikes need a service and oil. The toilet are small even for my wife..But over all 6.5 out of 10.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Gorgeous rooms, amazing breakfast and great service. Could not fault this hotel. The welcome drinks and a nightly turn down of your bed with a different sweet treat presented in a little gift box, was a nice touch. Short 5-10 min easy walk to the main area of Hoi An. Lovely walk along the river or in the street behind. Some nice little cafes in the same street, just need to look closely to find them. Would definitely recommend this beautiful Hotel and would stay again. Close to town but far enough away for the quiet.

Wonderful experience at Hotel Royal Hoi An - MGallery. Nicest hotel in the area by a lot. Everything was top notch especially the gentleman who checked us in. Wonderful breakfast and 2 fabulous pools. Would stay again in a heart beat. Location also wonderful.

Fantastic stay in royal rooms overlooking the river. Everything in the hotel (rooms, common areas, pool) visually appealing, hotel 5-10 minutes lovely walk to the old town by the river. Exceeded our expectations. Very highly recommended.

It was difficult to communicate with the staff. Unfortunately, I cannot speak Vietnamese. I wish I could speak to have more comfortable stay. They cannot speak English well.

Beautiful property, the staff was friendly and helpful. One night we decided to stay in and get room service since we were tired and got club sandwiches. They were the best club sandwiches we’ve ever had! Excellent location, close to town where you can walk around and get amazing street food. Only thing was that the mini bar wasn’t free which is totally fine, we just didn’t know since there didn’t seem to be a list of prices anywhere. The previous hotels we had stayed in were free so we didn’t know.

Really enjoyed our stay!

We checked into this hotel last minute after booking a week at another establishment that was well below standard. We were so lucky to discover that this hotel had availability and we were not disappointed! The staff have gone above and beyond our entire stay. The hotel has everything that you need and the food and beverage is also great. The pools are lovely and the rooms are spacious. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, we loved it so much that we added an additional night to our stay! We will be writing a more detailed review on trip advisor to encourage others to come here!
