Beautiful view, rooms are quite warm though

So let me start by saying that this motel is in a great location! Right next to the beach and adjacent to the Pismo Pier. The downtown area is right there too. The people running the motel were nice and accommodating. Now, the room itself was awful, probably one of the worst I've been in. Mismatched flooring, bad color choices, dated tile/flooring, small rooms, no desk, a refrigerator with a stacked microwave poorly placed, tiny little windows along the front wall for inadequate ventilation, no fan in the bathroom, NO A/C, dirty sandy floors, and so on. If it wasn't for the location, I would give it a zero stars. The window screens were disgustingly dirty which I cleaned myself. Next door was a restaurant that was noisy all night so we couldn't keep the window open. They would be smart to spend some money and completely update the rooms. They could charge a lot more if the rooms were decent. At least the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. If you're looking for a perfect location but don't care about the room, then it would be a good choice. It was pretty warm when we went and having no A/C was a challenge because it got warm, especially in the late afternoon when the sun beats down on the front window.

I liked the proximity to the beach

This motel was fine - it has a great location right on the beach. The owners let us park in their lot before we could check in, which was nice. But, the rooms had no towel racks, hooks, chairs or shelves - absolutely nothing to hang wet bathing suits, towels or clothes on. That made it very inconvenient for a family with kids who spent the days on the beach.

Love staying here as rooms are always clean and everything is near by and within walking distance. This time around though, the sink was clogging upon arrival so it was challenging to use at times. We only stayed there one night so it wasn’t that big a deal and management was going to get a plumber to check upon our check out.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dolphins innMotel. Our two rooms were great and the view was amazing. Right next to the pier. I would add a picture if I could but the app through the phone is not allowing me to add a picture

The room was very small and crammed. It appeared that someone in another room had control of my fan and lights. I presume I had control of mine and theirs. Overall, we seemed to agree on having a fan on, but a couple times I woke up in the middle of the night to the light on. I just switched the power off so no fan or light. One day for a couple hours to power is out in the whole area and I had nothing to do but sit in my car. The The Maintenance cruise would sweep sand off adjacent boardwalk and it would get into the parking lot of the property. The manager hired someone with the leaf blower and they got sand inside my back hatch and frunk. Overall, the water was too cold in Pismo Beach. 57°F. I went in once, but my hands turned blue. Next time I will make the extra drive to Santa Monica, where I normally go.

I like this motel beacuse its clean and close to the Pismo Beach pier. So far the price is decent but im noticing a rate increase. So might have to find another place .

This is right on the beach. It's a little dated but clean and comfy. You can see the beach perfect. The view will never disappoint.

Dolphin Inn is right on the beach! Perfect to walk the next block over to shops and food places and right by the pier! Perfect place for a couple. View of the ocean! This is our 2nd year coming here and we love it!

Was built in the 1930's, apparently one of the 1st hotels in Pismo Beach. My room was a 'cracker box' in size but totally adequate. Within steps of the beach, the pier, and all the stores and restaurants within a few blocks. Once I parked in my provided space, I did not have to drive anywhere for 3 days. I was on a solo sabbatical, so I didn't need much. But I probably would not come here with my wife if she was expecting luxury.

The property is beachfront, loved the view from the room. An early morning walk on the beach was just what I needed. I would go back, stay longer….

Besides the cockroach we saw walking across the floor our night there, everything else seemed very clean and up kept. Would love to stay there again because the convenience was amazing!

Small rooms that are hot. Yes you get a big view window , but it has no privacy. People pass by and look in. There should be a second lighter curtain on this window.

We loved our stay at Dolphin Cove. Our queen room was tiny, but we weren’t in there much anyway! No A/C in room but it did have 2 fans. Not ideal as I like my room cold to sleep, but was ok for one night. Being right on the beach made up for everything. I would definitely stay there again

Beautiful place to wake up on the oceanfront small rooms but worth it lots of dining choices around easy walking area will stay here again

Furniture (couch and chairs) stained, barhroom window without curtains. I had to make some out of the towels. Smelled very musty. Rest of room good overall

Hotel room was small but clean. Nice decor and comfortable. Best part -this was right on the ocean! Best views right out my window. Walk to downtown
