Very good stay

Hotel service super good. Room is good,overall rate more than 5 star.

A convenient place to stay if you want to access the walks at Alishan. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service and half board (breakfast and dinner) is included.

The hotel is somewhat deep in the park itself. This is slightly annoying for those with luggage, as you might need to find and wait for the shuttle bus, but it means that it's actually very close to chaoping station, which is where most people begin their hike, and you can always take the train to chaoping station. The property itself is well maintained and clean, and the room are spacious and well equipped. There is a very nice observation deck on the 8th floor with one of the best views of the Alishan sunset (many of the other observation points can be blocked by trees during spring/summer). And as a bonus, you don't have to trek back to your hotel in the dark.

Alishan Hotel is a beautiful hotel in the magical forest of Alishan. We enjoyed our stay at the property and the magnificent trees surrounding us. The staff was warm and helpful and were eager to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and well maintained facilities with a convenient location to the forest paths in the park made this an unforgettable trip for us.

An amazing hotel in the middle of beautiful Alishan national forest. Great views for sunset and provided shuttle service for sunrise. Buffet and lobby cafe were great food options.

It was the best of a very limited choice in the area.

Nice hotel, but seems to be too pricey for more than US$500 a night even considering that it came with breakfast and dinner for 2.

Fantastic location, just right next to the entrance of various trails. Room is spacious and clean but walls are a little thin so you can hear sounds from the next room. Complimentary drinks and snacks are provided in the room. Service is prompt and attentive. Buffet breakfast and dinner selection is wonderful.

For the price, we expect higher standards. I have never seen a lighted exit sign above the door inside the room! This kept the otherwise nicely dark room lighted and thus affected our sleep. The mattress was way too hard for my liking. Still using old fashioned key. The historical building rooms need some modernization and not worth the price.

Spent $1000 for a night with my parents and husband, stayed here for 1 night. This property is over priced !! The buffet use cheap ingredients so I am not impressed by their breakfast and dinner buffet. I am very disappointed.

The property costs much higher than others, but the value it offers is not.

It’s quiet and we can enjoy the natural scenery from the room.

Hotel staffs very professional in providing assistance! Also very courteous even during holiday time December! Luggage was taken and secured promptly upon arrival. Check in was easy and fast! Room may be consider old specifically bathroom, no rainstorm head. It was a a large shower, handheld shower head was a mismatch. Bathtub is hard to climb in, even for young people. Amenities was a plus, there was even extra comforter and pillow in the large closets. Mattress was good for one night stay. Firm. No back pain if I remember. No easy parking during December. Also requires shuttle bus to take to hotel. Keep in mind # of luggages you want to bring It's a hiking and scenery area so expect a lot of walking. Shuttle bus available to different points. Buffet was average like most Taiwan hotels. Enjoyed the stay!

The hotel is very near to all the main attractions in Alishan. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Buffet dinner offers a variety of delicious choices. The old wing of the hotel is under renovation, otherwise it’s another nice sight-seeing spot with history.

Pricey but the experience was well worth it!

Will be difficult to justify the price when just considering the room. What you are really paying for is a food location next to some nice walking trails, free shuttle bus every 30 mins and for sunrise train, buffet dinner and breakfast, and a viewing deck for sunset. Property is on the older side, but the linens and toiletries were quite nice. Was overall clean except under the beds. Food was passable, but note there are limited other options anyway.

Overpriced rooms with little to no soundproofing. You wouldn't want to pay 700 bucks a night for such minimal furnishing. Even more important is that sleep is important to catch the sunrise but with such non-existent sound proofing, nobody can get any rest Buffet dinner/breakfast is fantastic though.

For $700 a night you would expect a well furnished room. Here are a list of missing features that makes this hotel not worth your wallet - soundproofing is horrible. It’s literally non existent and one can hear what is being conversed next door. This is critical as people come here to wake up at 3am to catch the sunrise and it requires a good night sleep. - there are no doors between the washroom and the bedroom for the 4 pax suite.

Being in the middle of the park is wonderful. We were close to both the giant tree path and the twin sister lake path. We even hiked to the sunrise viewing spot. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good. They have water filling stations throughout the hotel. Oh, the gym was not usable. They had 2 treadmills (one had a loose belt), an elliptical and a bike (both not working) and a total of 10lbs worth of dumbbells. If you don’t have a car, an overnight stay here maximizes your time in the park. Their shuttle does pick up and drop off at the bus station. That’s what we did.

原本看評價很擔憂舒適感，還有餐點的部分 但幸好微解封沒有食用到餐盒的部分 房間雖然懷舊，但是舒適度以及清潔度都還不錯，但下次還有機會再進入園區，會考慮住住現代館，價格似乎沒有差太多，另外也有提供日出小火車的訂票，省下很多買車票的時間，接駁巴士時間也很多，基本上進入園區不用擔心去不了711問題，整趟旅行都在園區完成，除了健走部分比較累以外，但是非常充實，還有房間真的不用冷氣，因為真的有夠冷 不過不知道是不是懷舊館的關係，建議棉被以及枕頭可以換新，枕頭比較塌，棉被有點不夠厚，半夜真的會不小心冷醒，隔音部分本人是覺得還好，因為白天也走了一天，睡著後基本沒有聽到太多聲音，整體上都還是很優唷
