Wonderful hotel -- especially the staff who were so helpful and friendly. Be aware that it's a long rocky walk to the beach though.

Beautiful property. The breakfast was good and plenty, only one plate per person, if you want anything extra you will be charged. I had the best massage at the spa. Beautiful views and had the opportunity to see many wild animals.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was also great. My only complaint is the roads going to the property are in really poor shape and was the only downside

I recently stayed at a hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. The views of nature were impressive, with breathtaking landscapes. The rooms were comfortable, and the service was excellent. Without a doubt, it’s a place I would return to in order to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.

Staying at Hotel Boutique Lagrata Lodge was a fantastic experience for my friends and I!

The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Amenities and pools were amazing. The room was very clean and spacious.

We loved the location next to the ecological reserve, and the view from the restaurant was remarkable. Amenities and grounds were also first-rate. But the best thing about the Lagarta was the friendly and professional staff! The only downside was the poor roads leading up to the hotel.

Lagarta Lodge was everything we expected and more. From the stunning views to the amazing service and phenomenal food. The staff was accommodating & Lukas in the front really took good care of us. We appreciate him. The wildlife all over the area so was beautiful and at your fingertips. We enjoyed the swim up bar and the balcony from our room! Thanks for an awesome first experience in Costa Rica! We hope to be back soon!

Amazing property set high, overlooking the ocean. We had a problem with our our air conditioning so they quickly moved us to an even nicer room with a wrap around beautiful balcony.

The hotel and the grounds are beautiful! The ambience and scenery from the pool and restaurant was spectacular. The food was excellent and the service and staff (Elena, and Edwin at the front desk) and Michael at the restaurant were nice and accommodating. Small things could have been better. When we checked into the room the AC wasn’t working. The sent the maintenance person who said it was fixed but it wasn’t. Just blowing room temperature air around and it was 100 degrees. We moved to another room which was beautiful, with a great wrap around balcony, and AC that works. Also, we didn’t receive our VIP perks. We had to ask a few times for the bottle of wine and upon looking at our bill we didn’t receive our spa discount. We eventually did get the wine. Otherwise the hotel was fantastic!

I can’t say enough about all of it. Not in the heart of town (a good thing) but super close with benefits of spectacular views, unbeatable sunset, and super comfortable accommodations.

The property was just OK, it was a bit dated. Out of the way. Stunning views, no easy access to the beach. The menu is a bit tired. The service was great.

The location was second to none with stunning views overlooking the sea and the national park. The staff were lovely, especially Michael in the restaurant. The pool area's were adequate with infinity pool's but the sunbeds were grubby & uncomfortable. Most days the table's by the sunbeds had not been cleaned. The room was very spacious but very bland. There was sufficient room for 2 chairs in the room but only 1 available. General cleanliness of the room was quite poor. There is a national park attached to the hotel which offers free entry for Hotel quests, what they don't think to mention is that the area is tidal. We went for a walk but the time came in whilst we were out and had to return in thigh High water. Not a great experience! Was also disappointed to have to pay $6 extra for a latte at breakfast when the room is over £400 per night

Beautiful property, could improve service

The Lagarta Lodge was absolutely beautiful. We were mesmerized by the view from everywhere on the property: the restaurant, the pool areas and the balcony off the bedroom overlooking the ocean. Everything felt luxurious and intimate. We are already decided to come back on our next trip to Costa Rica!

We really enjoyed our two night stay. The new restaurant menu is an upgrade to the old one. Keep the improved trend. Wait staff and front desk were very personable. One area to improve is the main pool needs a thorough cleaning. There was debris (not the normal leaves floating) at the bottom of the pool by the edge. A good vacuum will solve that issue. Overall a quality stay. We will be back.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Everything about the hotel was superb, the spacious room, pool area, staff. Hotel is a short drive to the amazing local beaches (although hotel offers complimentary beach shuttle) and lively restaurants and bars of Nosara but tucked away on the hillside in the peace & quiet. Unexpected wonderful wildlife around the pool - lizards, hawks, howler monkeys, racoon families. Highly recommend this hotel.
