The room was dirty and smelled bad the bed was behind a half wall so you couldn’t see the TV and the TV didn’t work. And the check in clerk wouldn’t even let us in the parking lot because she couldn’t be bothered on her ‘mandatory break! We will be asking for a refund from Expedia.

As always a easy, nice stay. Super convenient. Friendly staff. Only side note is this new $15 a day parking??? What is that about? If you want to raise your rates, raise them but don't hide them in the "parking fee".

We had a beautiful view and the seating area was very comfortable! It was a plus to have a kitchen available so we could just enjoy staying in and relaxing after a day at the beach .

We stayed in room #133, which is the end unit right by the bridge and busy street. It was noisy because of the people/car noise, but the location was amazing! No views though. Spacious room with a gas fireplace. Pull-out couch with a 2nd bed in living room and another bed in the bedroom. Stove/oven was small, but big enough to cook on. Full-size refrigerator. Would stay in this unit again, even with the noise.

Rooms are super clean, quiet and fun! Will definitely be back.

Location was great...right at the beach

We stayed at this hotel because the direct access to the beach and short walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff was great and we had a beautiful view of the beach. Parking is extreamly tight for larger vehicles. Inside the hotel room it was outdated and smelled a bit. Probable from the old carpet throughout the room. It wasn't horrible, but when you're paying $665 a night, you don't want to feel like you're staying in a rundown Motel. It might be a good idea to invest some of that money to modernize the rooms.

I didn't know where the office is. There isn't great customer service for the price you pay. You can leave a voicemail and no one will return your call. There's an arrow pointing to the office but it is not the office. Bad service and guidance overall. Views and to sightsee ok, but I would recommend staying somewhere else.

This was a fun little beachfront apartment. We enjoyed staying there and will do it again.

Great location, friendly staff. However, not worth the price. The room was somewhat poorly appointed and the bed was uncomfortable. If the price were $150 less, this place would be awesome. But for how much we paid, the value just isn’t there.

Great stay!

Is there such thing as too close? This is it. Great location with easy access to the beach and Capitola Village. Parking is impossible. Older hotel and shows its age. The biggest challenge is the fact that it's so conveniently located to the beach that families let the kids run around and act Out of control. There is no peace. Screaming and yelling 12 hours a day.

We never got to the hotel. Need a refund. Tried calling several times, no one answered. Drove 5 hours home that night. Terrible customer service. Hotels.com please help with refund.

What a beautiful surprise for our girls trip, so much more than we expected.

Perfect room for our whole family. Not very many rooms will fit all 8 of us. Perfect location as well. Everyone loved the convenient access to the beach and the downtown eating spots. Will definitely come back! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful in the office and the housekeeping.

The young man that showed us to our room wanted to charge us 25.00 for kitchen supplies. This was not mentioned in our initial booking.

SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND TROUBLE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! It’s way over priced and it’s a dump, the floors are not even level, it’s loud from street noise the windows open up to the sidewalk where there were homeless people sitting around and with no AC in the room it gets real stuffy fast. We got the suite with a “full” kitchen like we do anywhere else and we had to pay an extra $25 for pots and pans and another extra $25 for plates and silverware!! Outrageous! And heaven forbid you need an extra towel because they also charge you for that! Then everywhere you look there are signs begging for tips! I WILL NEVER STAY IN CAPITOLA AGAIN AND DEFINITELY NEVER AT THE VENETIAN! Again save yourself the headache go to Santa Cruz or anywhere else!!!

we liked the location we didn't like the bed, the bed has not been replaced in several years and sunk in the middle, no ice machine or even trays for the freezer. the sales information make it look like that it is part of the lower property that is very colorful

The ocean views were amazing. Walkable to downtown Capitola. You can walk to the beach. The only negative thing is thst the rooms need to be updated. Need more counter space in the bathroom.

Great location, reserved parking clean room. "Ocean View" only if standing - looking across rooftops. Queen bed waaay too small for two average size adults. Good price point, excellent location for walking to the beach and a wide variety of restaurants. Friendly staff. No spare blankets in the room. Will probably return in the future.

Close to shopping and dinning

This hotel is great. Very clean and super cute.

It’s awesome that’s it is right next to the village. The main reason I gave it a low score was because the wall are paper thin. We could not get a good nights rest because the tenant above us were loud and didn’t go to sleep until midnight. Could use new fixtures too. Shower head was falling off and carpet is at least 20 years old.

The hotel room is dates, but very clean and well maintained. The location is unbeatable, and the view is gorgeous. Jo, who was working the front desk is a pleasant and super helpful person! The shampoo and other dispensers were either empty or not working in the bathroom, and she personally came over to take care of it right away. She also took the time to show my son how to use the TV remote, and was very friendly. Kudos to Jo!
