Loved my stay here and have been recommending the hotel to friends. My room was very chic and spotlessly clean. The location was convenient, walkable to several spots but the block itself wasn't frantically busy. The gourmet cooked-to-order breakfast was a highlight!

Hotel Rum is tucked away in a quiet, accessible area. Close to everything and away from the busy streets. Staff are delightful.

Just come back from a stay at this hotel ❤️bedroom (large black rum) was fab, very comfy and clean and quiet at night. Beautiful breakfast with a view in the morning with lovely staff. I couldnt recommend in anymore, stay here if your going to Budapest!! We will definitely visit again. Thank you 🥰

This hotel is very modern, clean, felt safe, great location, just a block or two away from the main vaci street for shopping. The front staff kept our bags for us after check out however I have to say the ladies at the front reception are not very pleasant, give looks and seem extremely annoyed doing their job. Another downside is how small the room really was I think we got the small double room and there was almost no place to lay open one luggage on the floor, when I did it blocked the front door and the other suitcase was basically under the bed. The bathroom was great very nice shower with place to put your shampoo bottles and such, kettle and coffee and tea in the room as well. Bed was comfy, construction outside our window was TERRRIBLE sounded like the window was open. Otherwise I liked this hotel I would stay again.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel, and it remains one of my favorite boutique hotels. It is a great place to stay in Budapest.

The elevator stopped working at night and our room was on the 5th floor. Breakfast fee was expensive

It was terrible- no air conditioning in entire building during the heat wave at 95 degrees, when we complained to the the front desk she said there is nothing she could do because it was Saturday, we were miserable. When I requested the rate adjustment I was told I need to speak with the manager, I’ve requested a call since we were traveling. Unfortunately no one reached out and instead of speaking with us we have received email with a small coupon for the next stay. Never again- DO NOT BOOK

The staff is very attentive and friendly. They are ready and eager to help. I remember one reviewer criticizing that rooms are small and at breakfast one may only choose one item from the menu (in addition to orange juice, a croissant, and coffee). This is correct, but that one item is a full meal, like a croque monsieur, and it is very filling. I would say their breakfast is better than most hotel. On top of that, the restaurant is on the top floor with beautiful view. It's a very pleasant environment and the staff is great. Regarding the size of the room: this is in the middle of a major European city, what would you expect? Nevertheless, I thought that the room was very cleverly designed to use the space effectively. I was alone, but it felt just fine. I imagine that if two people with several huge suitcases stay in the same room, then it feels a bit more crowded, but in that case you can get a larger room (which they have).

Hotel Rum is conveniently located as it's just around the corner from Kalvin ter metro station and a few minutes from the 100E airport bus stop. There are several major attractions nearby which makes it a good choice. However, based on the reviews I had read, I was expecting more from the hotel itself, as the room was rather sparse as I could only sit on the bed or one of the 2 wooden stools provided and there was no table/couch so it was a little disappointing.

Excellent location for exploring the city of Budapest on foot and near a tram, bus station. Lots of good food nearby and next to a Starbucks, yet very quiet for sleeping. Restaurant upstairs had a very nice complimentary breakfast. Room was large and comfortable except the mattress was a bit firm for my taste. Otherwise we were very happy and would definitely stay there again.

Check in and location was good. The staff was friendly as well..however i was greeted with a dirty towel with poop. The safe, the room had a small break safe was broken and it was dirty. House keeping noise was horrible and woke me up both days. I think sanitary checks and maintenance should be basic and it wasn't

The hotel is located in a beautiful area and has many nice shops and restaurants nearby. The included breakfast was fantasic with an amazing view. We highly recommend staying here.

Location and room

Hotel Rum is a beautiful hotel, i was on the 2nd floor, huge room with lots of hanging space and a massive bathroom with good shower. However mattress did sink in the middle. Breakfast in the roof top restaurant was very tasty and staff were very friendly, very nice views. Hotel is a great location for transport links to the airport and easily walkable to the main tourist areas, cute independent restaurants and cafes just along the road

Otel is close to the important places so you can walk easily. You don’t need to buy breakfast if you don’t eat pork. Because unless you are eating pork , little choices stands for you

A great hotel for the price I paid and in a great location for exploring Budapest.

This was a cute hotel looks just like an IKEA showroom. No complaints there. The beds were not comfortable at all. The staff was quite standoffish not friendly. Overall fair.

Very nice hotel. I had a small but cosy room on the top floor with roof window. Perfect for one person but would have been a bit tight for a couple.

I had such a fabulous stay! The hotel was spacious, clean and modern. Very safe area and short walk to majors attractions ( public transport). The made to order breakfast is FANTASTIC. Will stay here again during my next visit to Budapest.

Fantastic hotel, breakfast was fantastic. Excellent help/service by the hotel staff. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, great location couldn't ask for any more.

Huge and comfortable room with a wonderful rain shower. Breakfast is a must at Solid as the food is awesome with a stunning rooftop view. I have tested 80% of the food during my 6 days stay and everything was unbelievable. The staffs at the counter and restaurent makes the stay homely and made the stay wonderful. Sadly I didnt get the chance to try out the michilin rated Salt restaurent. Maybe next time.

The hotel staff were very efficient and friendly. The breakfasts were spectacular, worthy of a 5 star luxury hotel. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was small. The phone was far from the bed and there were no up to date outlets. However, I would go back and I highly recommend it for singles or for young people!

The two ladies at Reception are so friendly and helpful. We arrived early and our bags were safely stored until our room was ready. Our (many) questions were patiently answered. Take advantage of the rooftop restaurant for a pre dinner drink or meal and then return for a delicious breakfast and enjoy the spectacular views.
