You get what you paid for, so basic but has everything you need. Convenient access to the Karasuma line and a larger bus stop but off the main road. 7-11 and several restaurants close by. Required room cleanings every three days are a bit annoying but that’s a Sotetsu Fresa requirement (I stayed four days and didn’t want to partially pack up just for cleaning).

This hotel is well located, about 10 minutes away from Nishiki market and close to the main shopping strip and transport (bus and train). Check in is via a machine. Has coin laundry (300 yen, includes detergent) and dryer was 100 yen for 30 minutes. Breakfast was great. Simple, wide range of options and delicious. Staff were very helpful.

I stayed here for 3 nights and chose it because of the central location as I’d not been to Kyoto before. It was in a great location - just 2 stops north of the main station on the train and with lots of buses round the corner. I ended up using buses most of the time. My room was very comfortable and big for a single. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I was able to check in early (for a fee). Breakfast was included in my room rate and it was fantastic with a mixture of Japanese and western dishes every day. I would definitely stay here if I were to visit Kyoto again.

Arrived at hotel via Hankyu train from Osaka was super easy, one of the stops is by the hotel. Lobby was homely feeling, staff helped us with check in. The room and bathroom was spacious, bright and super clean. We had breakfast which was a nice start to the day, felt like a home cooked meal with a changing menu. It's very much Japanese style so don't expect much western options. Location is quieter, but it's a short stroll to one end of the Nishiki market.

We were given an upgrade at check-in, which was a nice surprise. The Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely staff that speak and understand English well. Easy check in and check out. Great location- it’s about a 20 minute walk to the Teramachi/Nishiki market. Right next to a train station which is 2 stops away from Kyoto Station. 7/11 is a few meters away. Laundry washer and dryer was very useful. Dryer needed more than 60 mins to dry our clothes but washer was easy and efficient to use. Very pleased we stayed here during our trip to Kyoto. Would highly recommend - affordable yet great option.

Property was clean and safe and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was excellent! What I didn’t like: Room was small and minimalist. Door frame on bathroom was raised. Hurt feet. Pillows were small, only one each. No electrical outlets in bathroom. No way to plug in 3 pronged power cord for laptop.

Professional and friendly staff, rooms were clean and tidy and the complementary amenities bar definitely came in handy! The hotel is an easy walk to a nearby subway station, plenty of great shops and lots of food and coffee options.

Convenient and great location to ideal spots. Staff is extremely kind and accommodating. Room is slightly small but has all needed amenities. Did have to request for new sheets due to a stain but that is an easy fix. Would recommend!
