This place is a lot of fun to stay at - There may be nicer places to stay in Taos, but there are none that are as fun and as engaging as this one. The staff is always friendly and very helpful when it comes to anything that you need in the city. Make sure you take advantage of the live music and sitting outside of your room at night to see all of the stars in the courtyard. Enjoy it is fantastic!

Unfortunately the air conditioner in our room,405, rattled all night and the bed was a little too hard.

A historic unique property. There is street construction all around the property. It is very difficult to access the parking lot.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the Taos Inn. First off, location was fantastic, I was concerned we weren’t on the plaza, but in fact this location is BETTER and in proximity to even better restaurants and shops (including Bent Street Grille). The ambience was so nice and the history of the property is so interesting! It gave off such a GOOD rustic New Mexican vibe. Loved it. The staff was so accommodating, helpful and nice. It was a hot day, and when we asked them where the closest shop to buy water was - they provided us with as many cold water bottles as we needed at no charge. The room was cozy and I loved the little living room nook by the kiva fireplace (we were in a king room). Bathroom was clean! Parking was easy and accessible. To be honest, we barely used our car since everything was so walkable from the hotel. There was a happy hour at the Adobe Bar, so we went for that. Although not part of the happy hour deal, the Cowboy Buddha margarita was amazing! For dinner, we chose Doc Martin’s. Food (New Mexican) was fantastic. We had walked around Taos Plaza and the area and no restaurant quite had the ambience of Doc Martin’s which is why we initially chose it, but were impressed with the food and would eat there again. Didn’t even need to leave the hotel!!! All in all, my husband and I agreed that Taos Inn is the best hotel to stay in Taos and shall only stay there on any future visits to Taos! Thank you Taos Inn staff for making such a pleasant stay!

Amazing hotel!!! Great rooms, very clean and very specious. Bed was very comfortable. The check in was very easy and very pleasant. The stuff is very nice through the hotel. The hotel provides coffee and some pastries in the morning, in the main room adjacent to the bar and restaurant which provides dinner and live music each evening. It was great after a long drive to stay have dinner and listen to some amazing music. Did I mention the food was great also. Definitely will stay at the Inn again when we visit Taos. The location is close to all of the sites within Taos

It was a busy Tuesday with live music so the seating was limited and the restaurant only took reservations. We ate in the bar, the staff appeared a bit overwhelmed. My husband insists we will return because the have actual KEYS for the doors, Yes, you read correctly ACTUAL METAL DOOR KEYS! 😂

This property is shoddy, outdated and dirty. The pictures advertised look nothing like the property. Outdated fixtures, painting chipped, carpet was disgustingly dirty. Wore my shoes the whole time. Friendly staff. Would NOT recommend

GREAT historic property. Our room was small but very nice with so much NM charm. We enjoyed it. Some things are a little worn, but overall very clean and lovely. EVERYONE who. worked there was so nice!!! Especially the lady who checked us in rather late. Great stay. Walkable to the plaza and many restaurants and shops.

The cooling system was so loud you could not sleep through it. We stayed in room 111, we were traveling for a few days and wanted a resting day in between flying home. Got no sleep at all.

The bed was old. Mold around tub. Music and dining and drinks in lobby was excellent.

We liked that the restaurant was available for dining. There was lots of room and the band was an added touch.

Taos Inn was the perfect location for my short stay.

We enjoyed this beautiful historic property. The staff was amazing and we felt right at home. It is in a great location adjacent to the beautiful Taos plaza. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The live music was a wonderful touch and finished promptly at 9 so we had a good night's rest

Hotel is great- perfect location- excellent staff. Just avoid rooms directly above the bar -noisy- on/off air con... They moved us when we complained and staff were very helpful.

We had a room behind the main building and it was so quiet! The room was clean and cute. It was nice to have a bar and restaurant in the hotel and with live music! It was also walking distance to several other bars and restaurants. I would stay here again.

We like the location and the idea of a preserved historical place. But it is not well kept, need a better maintenance outside. And we had to deal with a mouse problem in the room during the night. It is a place with potential that disappointed us!

Great history and great grounds.

Notified both Expedia and the Taos Inn within minutes after booking that the dates were wrong but was told it was too late to cancel the booking in which the wrong date was a month away. Surely they would have been able to rebook the date being that it was a month away. This is an obvious disrespect to me. This is theft.

While understanding that the Inn is historic, this shouldn’t mean not well maintained. Unfortunately, our room had a carpet that was very old and stained and had not been thoroughly vacuumed. The room had very small windows and was quite dark with poor lighting. This was due to the location of the room itself and I’m sure that other rooms were not so hobbit hole-like. Also, for such a historic location, I would have expected the exterior to be better maintained. It needs a lot of TLC and the grounds could certainly be better kept. The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The location is also perfect except for the street construction that was going on (would have been nice to be informed of this beforehand). The restaurant is wonderful and the nightly entertainment is the highlight of staying at this property. Unfortunately, the bar staff was very overworked and it takes forever to get waited on, but when you’re listening to the music, you don’t really care. I would perhaps stay at the Inn again, but not in a corner courtyard room that is much like a cave. Lastly, the property definitely needs some “sprucing up” to make it a more desirable place to stay.

Should have been informed about the ac not functioning

Taos is a special place and this is a special hotel. One small example is they don’t charge you four dollars for a bottle of water, they give it to you. And even so kind to remind you to take some more when you go on a hike.

We loved our stay and will be back for a third visit!
