Upon check in I was repeatedly told I "should have booked with the hotel directly because it would be cheaper"... it wasn't. It was said 4 times and made me uncomfortable. I just wanted to check in after travelling with my family and didn't need to be told that booking through an online service cost the hotel money and a commission. The room itself was spacious and had all the needed facilities. The floor however felt gritty and in need of a more thorough mop. Everything else was very clean. Hotel is located on the Main Street within walking distance of lots of facilities. I would probably stay there again for the convenience but would like the above issues rectified.

Tiny rooms, we arrived late with child, had to make up the bed for child once we arrived. Bed was weird and uncomfortable felt like we were sleeping up hill. Have stayed here once before and property gone downhill. Very expensive

Delighted to share our exceptional experience at this place! The check-in was a pleasure, thanks to the extremely helpful and friendly staff. The luxurious and neat unit exceeded our expectations, and we loved every aspect of our stay. Cleanliness was top-notch, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to our visit. Highly recommend!

This property was adequate for my needs. I arrived at 730pm or so and the office was not manned. I read the instructions and called the phone number. I was given instructions to get a key and easily found the room. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I believe there was only one other guest staying there. The following morning I saw one staff person who was transporting linens to the property next door. Bottom line? If you want to stay somewhere that is clean and quiet… without staff on site, then you can book here. I’m on holiday and this did not add to my Australian experience. OTOH, I got a decent sleep and moved on.

Location to RSL was easy walk as was CBD Very comfortable

It's hard for me to write a review for the Richmond Inn, as there was a problem with getting my key from the After Hours security box. But the After Hours on-call reception staff were very helpful, and ended up giving me a room in the sister property next door, the Heritage Inn. (And due to this, I got an upgrade, which was nice, but all I needed was a comfortable bed after a big day of driving!)

Great clean stay for family. Comfy beds and great hot shower. Highly recommend.

The absolute best shower - fantastic water pressure and lovely and hot. Very comfortable bed. An all round enjoyable stay.

This was a one night stay and was very handy to everything in town. The particular room we had was very spacious but was next to a laneway and that got very noisy early in the morning. The staff, in particular the cleaner, were very helpful and helped me when she saw me wandering looking for something in particular. I appreciated her help very much. We would stay there again but would request a different room, even though it was beautifully set up.

Fantastic location, perfect placement for shops or the river walk, and incredibly friendly service too!! We shall definitely return 10/10

Room was very expensive as it was a holiday, and all of Ballina had jackup their prices. I will go somewhere else next time to find better value. Room was nice and comfortable and clean, just to expensive.

It’s close to the club for dinner

Lovely clean property and room. Easy check in and out. Unfortunately had some noisy guests above us but they were dealt with promptly by the owners and moved on. Owners most apologetic which was appreciated even though circumstances outside their control.

We booked for 5 people and only got beds for 4. We expected, a king, a queen and two twin beds, but only got a queen and pull out sofa - very disappointing. We needed to roll our own fold out bed from the motel next door up to our room.

Hotel was in a greay location and everything was easy from entry to exit. Cleaner was amazing and extremelt helpful. Cant complain about anything.

Bed was horrendous, way to soft & very uncomfortable, replace bed and would be a nice place to stay!

My son and I stayed at the Richmond Motor Inn during the flooding in Ballina. I can't say that it was comfortable, because we lost electricity and internet, but that was unavoidable and throughout the whole ordeal, the staff was amazing. They kept everyone updated as they received news and provided food as all shops were closed in town. The woman who cleaned the rooms was a machine and constantly checking in to see if people needed towels or biscuits...coffee, tea. Although we were there in the midst of a natural disaster and so much tragedy, I left the inn feeling positive about the state of the world because of the kind people I encountered at Richmond Motor Inn.
