Really nice hotel run by a sweet family who enjoy talking and sharing tips for traveling around the area. The location is perfect, super close to Irazu and other natural attractions. I stayed here a total of 6 nights or so.

Excellent property, close to the volcanoes of Costa Rica, with really nice staff and comfortable rooms.

- The breakfast - Friendly and helpful receptionist - The bed was fine - Location of the hotel - near the Vulcan Irazu (45 min by car) - If you are lucky enough not to have noisy neighbours, your experience might not be 'terrible', only 'poor' :)

Where to start... - the walls are so thin that you can hear people in the next room. I mean literally hear every word they are saying (in a normal voice)! Unfortunately, we were so unlucky to have party people as our neighbours, so we didn't sleep all night. - the window to the outside was broken, it couldn't be closed properly and as the room is big, it was really cold inside - there was another window towards the hallway (I really don't understand the purpose of this). Since the hallway lights were ON all night, the light and noise coming into the room was another reason for not being able to sleep - you really need earplugs and a sleeping masks here! :-( - the shower head was broken and it was impossible to take a shower - the receptionist (was friendly but) didn't speak English, only Spanish
