From the moment I arrived the staff (Roberto in particular) were very friendly and helpful. The room was really good -modern, spacious, very clean and tidy. Breakfast was served in my room - very good. An excellent stay all round and good location.

Our check-in process was very easy and smooth, they only have 3 or 4 rooms so they were ready and waiting for our arrival. They were so helpful with telling us about the area and how to get around, the places to explore and recommendations. The room was very beautiful with the view of Castel Nuovo and THAT BATHTUB! I think I spent two hours in there. Worth every penny to soak our feet after a lengthy Europe tour!

Nice having "sauna" in the room. King room is separated from Queen room by an internal door, so you can hear everything from the other room. Absolutely not pleasant... Huge lack of privacy and lack of sleep... Moreover the room stays too humid all night. The shower kept leaking all night. It was extremely inconvenient. Breakfast is poor. Not worth it at all. The bed is not firm, so it tends to swallow the body during the night which is very inconfortable. Pillow smells of sweat of other people. Also inconvenient...

Amazing hotel with even better staff. Breakfast every morning along with Netflix in the room, short walk to the port, restaurants, and major shopping areas. Modern room with excellent amenities. Would highly recommend.

My stay at Carten was great! It was a bit difficult to find because it's inside another building, but it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's nicely located near multiple restaurants and not too far from the port.

Carten is walking distance to the marina, the castle and the main shopping district which made it a great place to stay for a quick stop in Naples. Francesca was very friendly and provided us with lots of local information and tips. The hotel is a little hard to find as the rooms are located within a complex of other housing and buisnesses. It’s located on the third floor but they do have an elevator if you have luggage. Overall very clean and spacious rooms, I would stay again if visitingNaples!

Given this hotel is very small (only 3 rooms) we were greeted with a very friendly welcome with top quality service. For example, we had a very early departure at 4am and a beautiful little breakfast had been organised despite this time. The rooms were an excellent size, with the bathroom being exceptional. No wonder they will soon be expanding. Would definitely stay here again. The only slight negative was the neighbourhood not being the nicest setting. Thank you again!

Wonderful large rooms with modern bathroom and sauna tub. This boutique hotel is within walking distance to ferry terminal. The attentive and lovely staff helped with everything we needed as well as prepared a great breakfast. Will stay here again next time we're in Naples.

Great little gem in Naples! So close to good pizza shops and restaurants. It took a while to find the hotel, perhaps a larger sign would assist in future travellers finding the place. We were greeted by friendly staff and were extremely happy with the accommodation. Definitely a pleasant surprise and a good nights rest!

From the outside this place doesn’t look like much as it’s in a big complex. Once you’re inside it’s a totally different story. The bathtub was huge never seen one that bug in Europe before. The bed was awesome and comfy they give you their Netflix login so you can watch on a big tv was very good. The doors all were very tough to unlock and lock we went through 3 sets of keys before we finally were given the right set good thing we checked or we would have been locked out all night and missed our tour. Would check your keys before you leave was a minor flaw. Everything else was amazing would stay again our room had a great castle view.

As noisy as it should have been the sound proof windows provided peaceful quiet inside. Met 2 of the reception staff and they were both so very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at the hotel and they told us our reservation was cancelled by a disgruntled ex-employee. They rebooked us into a sketchy hotel in an even sketchier area. They told us it was near the train station and that it was going to be a 4 person room - so the largest available. The new place was horrible, my boyfriend and I tried to put up with it but had to rebook a different hotel for our second night. There was miscommunication between me and Cartens. I asked if my hotel nights were going to be refunded, and from what I understood it would be, and out of good faith on their end they would pay for the new (sketchy) hotel and 50 euros for the new hotel I had to rebook myself. In the end, I did not get my refund for the original stay - I lost out the money I paid for Cartens (which had to be more than the new hotel they booked me into) and I had to pay $80 euros (reimbursed 50euros) for the new place. They didnt even arrange transport to the new hotel, only gave us money to take the subway there ourselves. I understand the cancellation was not their fault, and the girl at the front desk was very apologetic, but Im just extremely upset at: the miscommunication, the horrible first night in Naples, and paying more money out of pocket for the whole stay.

We have just returned from 3 nights at the Carten and absolutely loved it. We really hadn't expected to see a metal gate onto a very domestic looking courtyard with a name plate and a button to press for announcing our arrival. However when Manuella, a charming young lady with beautiful english, answered the intercom our stay turned out to be outstanding. After being escorted up to the second floor we were met with a high spec modern boutique 'hotel' of just 3 rooms. We were royally looked after from that welcome coffee to the moment we left 3 days later. Breakfasts were prepared just for us (mostly by 'Napi') and we had to say 'stop' on two mornings as we were already full. Afternoon tea appeared as soon as we came back from a hard days sightseeing. We were given full tourist guidance and an umbrella just in case. The staff were excellent throughout. The room was one of the most comfortable we have ever had with a super bed and a jetted bath tub complete with rain shower, waterfall, and mood lighting. All this in a stylish modern room with full facilities including an impressive 'smart' TV. Naples is a fascinating city but is generally a little tired and worn. The Carten brightened our days and was a real find.
