Booked at last minute as friend I was supposed to stay with got covid. Large busy pub with lots of diners on a Saturday night. Most tables booked. Dinner menu was good, I enjoyed a lamb shank with mash and gravy. Check in is signed at the bar. The rooms are at the back with card key access. It was very quiet even though I was next to the car park on the ground floor. Room was modern and clean. TV has access to apps like netflix so can use own login. Would stay again

Comfortable stay

Windsor Castle Hotel is conveniently placed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. My partner suffers from an intermittent bad back and commented the bed was one of the best he has ever sleep on. The shower was a good pressure with plenty of hot water. The room was made up promptly every day. The coffee and tea supplies, including a little pack of complimentary biscuits, topped up each day. We will definitely stay again when visiting East Maitland.

Very tidy property, well located

The building is central to everything , The room wasn’t as clean as it could be ,my husband and I are almost 70 and we had to climb into a bathtub to have a shower the tub is worn and has a spot that you feel like your going to fall straight through it it’s all soft . Q

Good location, good value for money

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant several times, good quality pub grub. We would happily stay again.

Our family room was an excellent size and it smelled so clean and fresh. Very convenient with kids to eat at the restaurant and play in the kids play area

Great place to stay, had a quick visit to Newcastle. Staff were excellent food was incredible. The rooms were clean and spaced out well.

Renovated and nicely finished.

We were unable to get home from a holiday due to flooding so we stayed 2 nights at the Windsor Castle. It was comfortable, quiet, clean and the room was quite spacious. The added bonus was having the bar and restaurant downstairs serving good food.

Staff (I think) clattering around in the corridors at 4am. Would have preferred to stay asleep

Remember to put your do not disturb sign on the door or staff will wake you at 830 on Sunday morning to clean your room. Then you will learn all about their life’s as they talk room to room as they clean. The pissed patrons leaving at midnight had more courtesy. Be prepared to witness the chips, treats and toe nails from previous customers. As vacuuming is not mandatory between quests. Don’t expect early checkin. Strictly after 12 only, apparently they clean from 10-12, unless it’s Sunday morning and it starts at 8 am. The recent renovations are great very modern. Beds were comfortable and warm.

Don't be scared by the fact this is a pub (I was a little hence why I am taking the time to write the review). The accommodation is away from the main venue, it is clean, very quiet and excellent value. At the same time the pub is bustling, has great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and caters for families. Highly recommend and Morpeth was less than 10 mins away.

Nice room and food was great

The staff were amazing, the rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable, and the lunch was one of the best pub lunches I've ever had!

One night (Saturday) stay for 2 people, 2 rooms. Main publicity pic belies the fact that almost everything behind the facade is modern, including the accommodation. Twin rooms have 2 single beds only (I didn't mind). Clean, well maintained, great showers. I was concerned that my ground floor room was adjacent to the carpark but accommodation is near the carpark (one way) ENTRY, not the exit. So hotel patrons leaving late Saturday night didn't really disturb. No residents lounge or dining (but various bars & bistro). The pub wasn't open at check-out (10 AM, no late checkout available) but the organic cafe a short walk down Lawes St. did a fine breakfast.
