This was a very nice room and very clean. There are a few things to know. It is above a busy restaurant, it has a long flight of stairs up to the room, it is in the old town and therefore pretty noisy until the restaurants close. The noise is people dining and talking. Having said this, if you want to stay in the old town of Como this room is probably fine. The street cleaners came by at 7:00 each morning but we were just steps from the action of Como.

The rooms themselves are fine -- clean and well appointed. The location is great. The main limitation is that it is not a traditional hotel with a front desk, but they make that clear up-front.

We had a great stay at Rumi Rooms in Como, Italy! The hotel is located in the heart of the old-town of Como, and is a convenient walk to shopping, restaurants, and the Lake Como Ferry. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and had great air conditioning! Our only complaint was that the bed was a bit too soft for us, but might not be for others. Don’t pass up the restaurant that is co-located at the property. We had a great meal there!

Great find! Perfect location near a busy piazza, and the boat docks/lake. A little unconventional as you have to enter thru a restaurant then up some stairs to the 4 rooms available. There’s no elevator. Rooms are great. Spacious, and clean. Modern with a great shower/bathroom. Plenty of space to sprawl out. There is limited breakfast. I only had the Nespresso coffee as there was only a brioche in plastic for breakfast. So Id go elsewhere for that. You’re basically on your own here which is great BUT at the end I needed some help getting a taxi early for my flight and nobody was around and nobody called me back. Cars can’t enter the area near the rooms so you’ll have to schlep your suitcases a little ways to a taxi stand. And hope there’s a taxi on Sunday morning! I found an Uber finally and managed. It was 160 euros for that vs a taxi which is cheaper. But I couldn’t chance not finding a taxi as I had a big suitcase and carry on to lug around. If you want hand holding this isn’t the place but it IS a great find and I’d definitely go back again but this time I’d be ready for it. I would highly recommend it if you want a clean comfortable place close to everything in Como!

Very nice room in a great spot, convenient to the lake and central Como. Our stay was dampened by rain the whole time, but a beautiful city with lots of dining options and nice shops next to a beautiful lake!!

Wonderful stay. Rooms are beautiful and the balcony was great to use.

The property needs renovation

The property managers were very friendly and helpful. They made our one night stay very enjoyable! We went definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at this guesthouse - rooms were clean, comfortable and bright, with some thoughtful design touches. The exterior is really pretty, with the property being a bit hidden away on a corner shared with other restaurants. The location was great, everywhere is walkable. The staff are kind and friendly and the restaurant downstairs opens for lunch and dinner - I didn’t eat there but friends who did were happy! There’s nowhere on-site to sit for breakfast but there are a few nearby cafes and a brunch place (Babi) if you want some eggs! The free flowing complimentary water was much appreciated in the heatwave we had. I left feeling like the team behind Rumi Rooms really care about the property and experience of the guests. I was very happy, thank you! PS. If you are an early sleeper you might notice the street chatter from the restaurant, but it dies down quickly after around midnight.

I was looking to stay at boutique type of hotel with a good access to the City and Rumi Rooms was exactly what I was looking for. The room was very clean and view of our window was amazing. They have a very nice restaurant at the ground floor with an excellent food. The hotel is located at the City with 20 min walk to the train station.

Loved the location. The air conditioner unit in room 2 was making a lot of noise and kept waking us up! Other than that, all was good!

Would stay again. Excellent location, groovy vibe and clean. Was outside my comfort zone to book such a non traditional place with no Front desk, but very glad I did.

The coolest place we have ever stayed! Room is new, exciting and spacious! Biggest shower in Italy. In a beautiful and completely walkable area of the city. We spent two days walking all the stores and didn’t see but 1/8 of all the total stores. Is above a great restaurant with amazing food and drinks and 30 other walkable restaurants. Hosts are super nice people! And you should spend your hard earned money with people who like them truly appreciate your business. This stay was the highlight of our trip at over 10 hotels and homes across Italy! Well done Rumi Rooms, well done indeed!

We LOVED everything! The owners immediately make you feel like family. They have outstanding attention to detail. Room was adorable! The bed was the most comfortable we slept in throughout Europe. There was a nice private terrace attached to our room which was lovely for before dinner wine. There is a fabulous wine shop on the premises. The location is perfect - walkable to train, ferry line, bus station and many delightful restaurants. Everything is amazing. The service, cleanliness, charm, spectacular shower!!! Any guest will be very happy here!!!😊

Would recommend and stay here again

Rumi Rooms is a small hotel located in a old town area just steps from a small plaza and 1block from a large plaza. Both offer out door dining at reasonable prices. It is only a couple blocks from the Como ferries dock. We would stay there on our next Como trip.

Great location! Less than 5 minutes from the ferry dock, and 2 from the plaza. The room and bathroom were gigantic (especially for Italy). The restaurant below was super good and even though you’re on top of the restaurant it’s still quiet.

Loved our balcony and location. As well as the atmosphere and friendly staff which were very accommodating.

BEWARE - hotel accepts same-day bookings until 11pm, but you cannot enter the hotel or check in after they close their doors at 8pm. We were stuck without a place to stay, forced to book another hotel the same night, and Rumi Rooms refused to provide a refund. Terrible experience.

Very friendly staff. Our plane was delayed, we arrived at 2 am in the hotel and there were people waiting for us. What a great service.

Even though it was difficult to find, it was in a great location and we could easily walk to dinner. It was, however, hard to find parking. The balcony was a nice touch.

A set of 4 small rooms above a restaurant that are well cared for. The room was clean and a decent size. The location perfect to explore Como. However, it was a bit noisy over the restaurant and a little awkward to get in and out the "hotel". A bit pricey for what's offered, but overall ok.

The hotel was nice overall. It is in a nice location above a restaurant (a bit hard to find at first, but convenient overall for the city). The room is a nice size for two people with a big bathroom & shower. We did have issues with the A/C unit making terrible noises that kept us up and couldn't open the windows until after midnight since the restaurant was noisy (couldn't hear restaurant with windows closed so if it was functioning properly, no issues). The bed wasn't the best - seemed like a cheaper mattress with a pillow topper on it. Any movement would disturb the other person in the bed.
