Easy parking, quick check in, sensible price, good food, pleasant bar, friendly staff, great hotel to visit this part of the country from. External design of the building is of its age, but our room was very pleasant. Definitely would stay again.

Clean and nice room. Restaurant has very good food. Third floor with no lift access. Front desk staff not very friendly.

From the exterior of the building by the car park it doesn’t look like much, step into reception and feel instantly welcome. We stepped into our room was instantly a world away, everywhere was fresh and refurbished in a contemporary design. Quiet and comfortable, the sheep and the birds were the only noisy neighbours but such a beautiful way to wake up. The WiFi is a bit sketchy which also affects the quality of on demand services on the TV, which might annoy you after a long day walking or exploring if you want to relax with a film, but otherwise not too big a deal. The room was made up whilst we were out and ample parking made this all for a comfortable stay

The room was lovely, a good size and clean which is all we could ask for. Complementary biscuits with the tea/coffee facility which was a nice added treat. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the checking in/out process was a breeze. The hotel has a restaurant attached which is very handy after a long day driving and if you don’t want to venture into the town (5 minute drive away). When we stayed it was a Tapas night, the food was nice enough and hot but nothing amazing but it filled a hole which was the important part for us. Overall I would recommend staying in this hotel and would likely stay again if passing through the area. I would rate the hotel and staff 10/10 but the food 7/10- not bad but room for some improvement (but we are particularly fussy with food so don’t let this put you off staying/dining at this lovely hotel)

Beautiful property to stay if you enjoy the country and some spectacular views. Lastly the restaurant on site was fantastic! Everything about the Melbreak was amazing!!

Paid for a superior room because thats all that was available. My colleague was in room next door which was a standard room. Couldnt see any difference between them. Breakfast was ok. But massively overpriced £20 .

Stayed here several times, always had a great stay

Everything was good, slight problem attended to very quickly. All staff were very helpful. All facilities in room were of a high standard. If in area in future this would be our first choice.

Value for money good location for seeing the lakes only complaint is the mattress was a little hard not the best location if you are expecting shops and places to eat and drink around you as it over looks a farm but was perfect for the reason the hotel was booked would recommend and stay again food in the restaurant was lovely and staff were lovely

Its a lovely hotel and the staff are all friendly. The conservatory part where we had from from the resteraunt was lovely! We had both starters and mains and it was delicious. Not a wide selection of drinks behind the bar however. The room itself I paid extra for a balcony and the superior room.....wasnt worth the extra money. The "balcony" was doors that opened inwards into your room and a small part you could stand on and the mountain view was mostly blocked by a tree. Shame as the room itself was nice and clean and not a bad size. The shower wasnt great as we needed to change the height and it was held in place by cardboard so kept sliding down. And the shower got the bathroom windowsil soaked. Wouldnt recommend paying more for the bigger room. Youre hardly in it as the hotels nocest part is the outside seating or the downstairs seating.

Neat clean tidy and excellent service , friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.

They are doing renovations, so the room was lovely but they have yet to do the bathroom, but it was very clean and comfortable.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room we were given had not been cleaned properly and there was visible mould in the bathroom. Got moved to a luxury room on the first day which was very clean and tidy.
