This is a real medieval castle now belonging to a private owner, and he did his best to make the rooms very, very comfortable. We loved the room. It was spacious and very comfortable. There is a parking lot for the guests in the castle territory included in the price. The restaurant of the castle is very good. The staff is friendly and efficient. It was unbelievably clean everywhere. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

The only thing that was difficult is that internet was not available in the room and could be only accessed at the reception. But please let it not stop you from staying in the castle :) I would also like to comment on the museum. The castle had a museum and we were given a discount for visiting it. The museum is actually not telling the story of the castle, but is rather a collection of German objects of different times. I would recommend the castle management hire a consultant who would help them create storytelling in the museum from the objects they have.

Visi darbinieki bija ļoti jauki, tikām laipni sagaidīti, mūsu suncis tāpat. :) Istabiņas ļoti skaistas ar fantastisku skatu uz iekšpagalmu. Ņemot vērā cenu par nummuriņu, saņēm gaidīto un vēl vairāk. Noteikti paliksim vēl, ja mums radīsies iespēja braukt gar Ēdoles pusi! :)

Kad ieradāmies, pils kafejnīcā un pagalmā norisinājās svinības, troksnis bija visai liels, kas arī nedaudz satrauca mūsu sunci. Īsti nesauktu to par mīnusu, rēķinājāmies ar to, īpaši piektdienā. Balle arī savlaicīgi beidzās, ap kādiem 22:00 ~ 23:00, tikai ceram, ka mūsu satrauktais mīlulis nevienam kaimiņam nepatraucēja ar kādu rējienu :)

Приятно было остановиться в только что ремонтированной комнате – новое всё – от сантехники до Ковров, за исключением антикварной мебели, конечно, которая вызывает восторг!

Если замените одеяло на что-то с натуральным наполнителем – хлопок, пух, шелк и поверх пружинного матраса положите что-то более ортопедическое – все будет безупречно!

Room Nr.1 was very big: around 40m2 (incl. restroom) and with very high ceilings, what make you feel comfortably. Very big restroom: around 16m2. All the furnitures are in old imperial style and in very good condition. And there is a bath in the bathroom. Bathrobes and slippers are included. The room is absolutely quiet. Edoles Pils - The Old Château, completely renovated. A half of 1st floor of the Château is occupied by a brilliant mast-see history Museum, with exclusive Latvian traditional fairytale part with dolls on the main floor. You can also climb the observation tower, located on the top of the building. In the middle of Château there is a beautiful patio with old draw-well in the centre. Parking is at the entrance. The Château is located in the middle of a small town Edole - very quiet place. The hotel is not big (up yo 12 rooms, maybe) and occupied for 60%, maybe, in the beginning of August'23. Very distinguish place. Breakfast served individually.

In the bathroom there was no hot water for the bath - just warmish and after our's and our neighbours remarks.

A wonderful night in an old castle that has been lovingly restored. Great ambience, clean room. Very rich breakfast. Very friendly reception. Very beautiful castle park. Despite film shooting, we were well looked after. Many thanks for this unforgettable stay.

Room was very clean, staff super friendly and ready to assist. Despite of cold weather outside premises were enough hot. Design of premises appropriate as it is castle of midle ages.
