The hotel is very unique. Speaking to the owner, he has a. Vision for community within his hotel and provides at least two spaces where guests can gather. There is a “living room” space with a large table and kitchen appliances for simple food prep and coffee and the Sora Skydeck (rooftop) lounge for relaxing under the stars. The room was able to accommodate our party of four comfortably and very clean. Staff is friendly. Great stay!

A charming establishment with comfortable facilities and welcoming and helpful staff. The staff even gave our kids small treats while we were checking in that kept them happy.

Great hotel, conveniently close to Kyoto Station and Kujo station on the subway. Lots of restaurants around but it was quiet at night in the room. A Welcoming lobby with lots of thought gone into providing guests with things they might need and some kitchen facilities. Loved the loan of the kimono/dressing gowns. The room was spacious. My one complaint are the terrible pillows which are like bean bags! That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars not 5. If you can’t have a good night’s sleep because of terrible pillows, it sort of ruins your day so it’s quite a big deal for hotels to be thinking about getting right.

Overall it's clean, and staff is friendly. But some of the facility are broke and non fixed. such as some shelf, and the sofa rolling down handle in the middle (with nail head seen after rolling down)

Great for families and wonderful staff/owner!

Hotel Imagine is so unique, exhibiting the owner's passion for detail. The room fit our family of four very comfortably and we loved the shower/ofuro which I enjoyed every night after a long day of walking and sightseeing! While there was no breakfast included, there is a full-service kitchen with great amenities. We made our breakfeast every morning and the coffee machine was wonderful! There was also a very nice upstairs deck which we were not able to enjoy since we were out sightseeing during the day and too tired to use during the night. We will definitely stay at Hotel Imagine again!

It's a very excellent hotel! The service staff are very polite and try their best to meet the guests' needs. The room is large and suitable for family travel accommodation.

A lovely bouquet hotel stay near to Kyoto station and is walking distance to good eateries in the area. Very well maintained property.

Aside from being a beautiful hotel, the staff and owner went above and beyond our expectations of hospitality. They were able to resolve issues (not created by them) and also very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and places to eat. The location of the hotel was very convenient since it’s close to the Kyoto station. Thank you again to the owner and amazing hotel staff, you made our Kyoto trip unforgettable!

Pleasant stay!

Property very nice, staff friendly. But the noisy peoples above our room made the stay just ok.

Friendly and polite staff. Nice lobby with a family feel, including a small pantry. Roof floor is nice gathering place if weather is not too hot nor raining outside. Be cautious that hot water will stop if it's used more than 60 mins continuously. So stop hot water in bathroom right after use.

Not your typical US-type of a place. Charming, intimate hotel. Easy, relaxed environment. Near (but not next to) Kyoto Station.

AMAZING stay at Hotel Imagine. Seriously loved everything about our stay. We had a family of 6 in the Deluxe Twin Room for 5 nights and it worked out great. The design of the hotel is top notch - everything has been throught through. The shared kitchen is FULLY kitted out with everything you need to cook. We cooked breakfast each morning - eggs, dumplings, etc. There's a decent grocery in Kyoto Station to make it easy to stock up on groceries. The rooftop is a lovely extra space and we used it every evening.

Hotel staff is very friendly. The room is very spacious and we love the villa concept. Enjoyed the tatami and the bath tub. They have a common dining area for hotel guests to use and there are toys to borrow / bring up to the rooms. Highly recommend this place!

Great unique hotel In Kyoto! Close to the train terminal so very convenient. Everyone working at the hotel was exceptional.

Front desk male officer was sensitive when we nicely enquired what was the additional ¥800 tax which we mentioned that we didnt see on the app. We perfectly understood later on that there is a ¥200/head tourism tax in Kyoto & were fine with that so long as we know what were paying for. We even thanked him for explaining the tax & apologised for the trouble.However on the same night, when we tried to use Hotels.com app to extend another night, front desk advised that they have closed their Hotels.com service. We explained that we would have booked nearer to Kyoto station with other apps but because were traveling many days in Japan & want to earn reward nights therefore we went for this Hotel Imagine under Hotels.com. Ends up we didnt even earn a single reward night with Hotels.com with our 2N stay at Hotel Imagine! Normally if theres no reward night to be earned, the app will clearly state so but not in the case for Hotel Imagine!We were also charged ¥1080 for misplacing a hotel card.First impression with the front desk male officer when we first arrived at Hotel.Imagine was already somewhat negative as he wasnt courteous in asking us to wait for our turn though we were friendly & stood approx 1m away from the customers ahead of us. We feel brushed off with his tone & hand gestures.Their petite female officer was much nicer, courteous, service oriented & patient. We appreciated her assistance in our 2nd night booking & call for an MPV taxi.
