Good two day break. Great location for Christmas Market, Princes Street and the Castle

Perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The blinds were not the easiest to use and could do with being fixed a little better. We just left them shut. Firmer pillows would be good, but depends on your preference I guess.
No lift at all, we were on 1st floor so not too much of a problem.
Would not hesitate to use Destiny apartments again. Thank you.

Perfect accommodations! Clean, in the middle of everything! Fantastic view. We were able to do a little laundry and that helped since it was cooler than we thought and had to rewear our warmer clothes. 100% recommend. There are no lifts but we had no promblems with that others might though.

nice place- lots of stairs to get to our room, but the room was very comfortable and large- lots of space. we had a little trouble with the door, but it was fine. very convenient for hopping on the trains.

Overall, we were quite happy, especially the excellent location. However, for the price paid, it is fair to expect more from our stay. To not have at least one change of towels, teatowels and bins empied across a 4 night stay was disappointing. Additionally, with the very bright street lights not being blocked sufficiently by block out blinds was a miss. The mattress was a complete fail, with us being able to feel the springs and cheap feel of the bed. Ultimately, we had a lovely visit to Edinburgh, however, feel the accommodation lacked commensurate quality considering we spent well over AUD$2,000 for a 4 night stay.

We loved our apartment! It was very large and well equipped. Loved being able to do a load of laundry.
We had an amazing view of the castle and while in Edinburgh, the military tatoo was happening beside the castle, so we were able to see the light show and fireworks.
The only negatives were: the wifi (on a scale of 1-10, it was a 2, because it constantly cut out or turned off). The bed was creaky, yet comfortable. The 2 very high staircases (which we were forewarned about) to access the apartment where a challenge for us on arrival because of us having 2 large and heavy suitcases to get up there

The whole stay was fantastic. The apartment was very clean and spacious and the bed really comfy. It had all the amenities you needed for your stay and was close to Edinburgh Festival activities, which was the reason for us going to Edinburgh.

Beautiful property, lots of space, light and high ceilings, the makeover for this was well done. Felt safe, good area of town and only a short walk to the Royal Mile.
Parking decks were not close, we chose street parking that wasn’t cheap and required us to return periodically as the limit was three hours.

Excellent location. Restaurants, shopping, Old Town and New Town are all very close. Clean, and reasonably well appointed. Be advised: there is no elevator. We had a first floor apartment, but still had to navigate two flights of stairs. Parking could be problematic but we didn’t have a car. We would stay there again.

We had a lovely stay. Walking distance to old town and lots of nightlife in new town.

The flat was very spacious and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and I liked that the window opened a little bit. Dropping off our luggage at the main office was a godsend, so we didn't have to walk around all day with them. There are many restaurants, cafes in the area, and we were right at the base of "The Mound" and close to Waverly train station. There is also a tram stop right on Princes street, which made getting around super easy.
The biggest downside was the stairs to get up to the 2nd level, which made it tedious with our suitcases. After walking up all the hills to the Royal Mile, we cringed at going up the numerous flights to reach the room. This is more of an "us" issue than the accommodations :)

Our stay here was excellent! Really enjoyed the size and comfort of the unit, the availability of in-room washer/dryer and kitchen, and the location. We didn't use public transportation during our stay because we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The Destiny Hanover Scotland team was also super communicative and helpful.

The worst part of our stay was the initial climb to the third floor with our luggage. Unbeknownst to us at the moment, this trek became a perfect training for the following day’s climb to Arthur’s Seat! We were quite happy with the location and the parking arrangement with St. James Place which was just a short ten minute walk to our unit. The location was perfect for the Royal Mile, Rose and George Streets, and the many restaurant choices. I think there were over one hundred pubs within a ten minute walk. We did not use the public transportation and found walking to be the preferred method of getting around. Truly fell in love with Edinburgh and would stay at Hanover Place again for sure! Only criticism was that there weren’t detergent tabs at the unit.

It was so convenient to be in the heart of everything in Edinburg. We could easily escape and then go back out again with no hassles. The apartment was spacious and had good amenities.

One of the best properties that we have stayed at in Edinburgh. The M S near by was great for meals, and access to New Town and the Royal Mile was superb. Very quiet and comfortable.

Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Parking was a bit of a pain. You have to pick up a voucher for a discount, and we were unable to get to the office to do so. I’m not sure why they cannot provide an electronic voucher.

This was the perfect location to explore Edinburgh, just a few metres off Princes Street. The room had everything you’d need for either a night or a week. We used the paid parking that they suggested and it was only a 5 minute walk away.

I loved my 1 room unit at 18 Hanover! Very quiet, close to all the Royal Mile attractions and castle. There was a room being painted in the unit next to mine, so there's strong paint thinner fumes in the hallway, but they dissipate soon as door is closed, I didn't find them troublesome.
The unit was very clean and looked newly renovated, with clothes washer/dryer, dish washer, mini fridge, espresso machine, rain shower head and hand held shower head. There's no outlet in the bathroom except for a razor (two prongs) so I brought my own extension cord to use the blow dryer and hair curler in the mirror.

We couldn’t fault the apartment. It had everything we needed and right in the centre of town. Especially loved that it had a coffee machine! Also very clean and lots of amazing space. Will definitely be booking again! The only negative was that it needed a long mirror in the bedroom area :)

The property was very clean and in good working order. The area was very central to everything. Old town is a 10 min walk across the park and the shopping center was very close. Check in and check out is easy. The only issue was that the bed was very uncomfortable and the bed leaned which made it difficultto sleep. Other than that, I would definitely stay at this property again

We were all very happy with our stay at Destiny Scotland while visiting Edinburgh. Clean and modern with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Restaurants, coffee and grocery all within walking distance.

Great location, close to everything. Our 3rd floor room was clean and very quiet. It is all stairs, no elevator. We knew to expect this and was not a problem for us but something to be aware of should you book here. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable, easily resolved if the owner just added a mattress topper.
