Nice, clean, run by warm family ! Accessible, not so far from Bacalar center and just near the EcoParque where you can admire the sunrise ! Great value for money ! Breakfast was nice, you feel at home !

Highly recommended spot - great stay

Nice hotel. Good host. Clean room but you can still smell the humidity a bit. We had the windows and fan open. The breakfast is really good. Good location too. If i return to Bacalar, i would not mind sleeping there again

Good hotel, not far from the center of Bacalar

Bacalar is really beautiful place and this hotel offers a perfect base to explore it! A bit dated but nevertheless great place to stay. Ran by very nice and welcoming family. Walking distance to everywhere you need to go in Bacalar.

We stayed there because of the good reviews and were not disappointed at all, awesome staff members and overall a cozy small place to stay, breakfast was a excellent my only comment is that the they run out of the good thigs pretty fast so I would recommend you to be on time since the people love the food and make it to run out fast. Nos encantó la propiedad, péqueña y acogedora el staff muy amable en todo momento y con mucha disponibilidad, las recomendaciones del señor Francisco fueron muy buenas en general y no decepciono. El único mal sabor de boca es que de acabaron algunos de los exquisitos platillos que sirven en la mañana antes de que pudiéramos probarlos todos, pero en general una experiencia maravillosa, definitivamente volveremos en alguna otra ocasion

Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Close to the lagoon. Noisy construction at front and beside. Hot water took so long to arrive we thought there was none!

The hotel is well-located- just a short walk to the free beach area. Bkfst is decent, although they struggle at times to have everything available throughout the bkfst hours. I stayed an extra night and had to switch rooms; the first was quiet and comfortable, the second was noisy due to the neighbor’s dogs barking all night long. The room was less expensive, and now I understand why. I wish the hotelier would have warned me so I could have made the decision to depart on my originally-planned earlier date. The best thing about the hotel is the owner- he is very helpful to the guests, going out of his way to assist with arranging tours, taxis, bike rentals, and giving advice.

This is a very nice place to stay, I actually felt like home. The owners and employees are extremely nice and helpful! We will be back soon.

The view from the upper terrace/pool overlooking the lagoon and in the evening the stars. A very good breakfast on the upper terrace area with eggs seeved to order if you ask. Each floor had plenty of comfortable outdoor seating overlooking the courtyard, nice to have extra leg room outside of the hotel room. Fransisco, the owner very helpful and allowed us to park our motorcycles securely within the courtyard. Parking for cars is limited, but Fransisco said he was making arrangements for a larger parking lot. We liked the short 2 minute or less walk to the lagoons public pier and swimming area. The new Ecological boardwalk is right beside the pier. Stayed 4stayed3 nights.

Francisco and the rest of the staff were very friendly. The breakfast they cooked every morning was delicious. If I have to complain about something, it is that the bed was very firm/hard. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Tuparenda.

The breakfast was so good, comfy bed, clean room.

I was there for a quick stop over the staff were incredible to accommodate date my short stay.

Great experience. Their recommendations were on point. The breakfast is AMAZING. The staff was friendly and super helpful. The ONLY thing I wish could be improved is the parking. It's on site and there's only 4 spaces, so if you have a car, get there early. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

Great value hotel in good spot for restaurants and beach clubs. Francisco was an excellent host and all the staff were very nice. The hotel was safe and clean and had all the facilities we needed - especially good a/c and wifi.

The hotel staff were they best I encountered in my travels in recent years. They give 5 star service with an affordable nightly rate. The hotel is walkable to the lake and to the town's best restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Bacalar.

An extensive breakfast too with staff catering to dietary requirements (they made me ordinary scrambled eggs, those on the buffet had ham). Super friendly owner and good tours and advice.
