Beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. Very close to the Whale Watch cruise. The room was very comfortable and had cute whale decor. The only complaint I had was that it was next to a busy road and had a lot of noisy trucks.

Fabulous accommodation. Spotlessly clean. So close to town and eateries. Owners made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend to others, and we look forward to staying again.

This is the second time my daughter and I have stayed here, we both found the beds very comfortable and it was nice having a TV with Netflix in both the bedrooms. The place is very clean and well equipped. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Kaikoura.

Check in was efficient. The unit was quiet and comfortable with plenty of room. Faciliites were good and the outlook from the rear lower unit was lovely over the paddocks and towards the mountains.

Quiet comfortable room with a kitchenette. The room was a little small but we had space for everything we neeeded. The view from the back patio was gorgeous. The room was spotless and relatively quiet. We appreciated having side tables on both sides of the bed and easy access to outlets for chargers and my husband’s cpap machine.

The pros: cool looking rooms, good breakfast. Excellent parking underneath
The cons: The foyer smells foul when you enter from outside or come down the lift not sure if this is the toilet right by reception/lifts but this was apparent both days we stayed.
Rooms look cool but bathroom is badly designed with tap in wrong position by sink, lights at mirror that have no apparent lightswitch to turn them on. Shower door that needs adjustment so it will close.
One switch for lights on entry that does everything so it’s all or nothing in the room which would be cool if it wasn’t so over lit.
Soulless corridors leading to rooms
This hotel could be really great but lacks in the detail to make it so.

Great location. We arrived a little early but this was not a problem for them. When we went to use the service washing machine, it was out of order. Without hesitation they offered to do the washing in the hotels machine which they did with a cost. Very helpful.

A great motel in a good location handy to the town centre and shops. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with all the necessities you need. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would happily stay there again if in the arwa

I would not stay here again. We had been allocated the disabled room. The bathroom was badly designed, as the water from the shower spread all over the floor and you couldn't leave any slippers, toilet bags etc there, or they would get soaked. The shower curtains weren't long enough and the dip towards the drain was too shallow. They also needed to invest in some better toilet roll. The decor in the room itself, over the bed, was very tacky. We were kept awake one night by roadworks on the main road, as the motel is just off the main highway, which lasted till about 3pm.

Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Rooms were a little on the small side, and would have preferred a toilet separate from the bathroom (there were 4 of us). Staff friendly.

Great overnight stay during our three week trip to NZ South Island. Unfortunately the weather was quite wet so we didn’t do a lot of local sightseeing. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable.
