This is my second time staying at Golden Bay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and modern. We were very late checking in and I was easily able to communicate with the front desk my status. The shuttle to the airport was on time and a comfortable ride. I would book here again the next time I need to spend the night in Belize City.

The staff was friendly the room was cute and comfy. My view was of construction, but to compensate they offered me complementary breakfast the entire length of my stay. I didn't make the breakfast,but dinner at the restaurant was amazing

Check in was effortless/ welcoming pleasant. Staff is amazing. Room clean/ bed comfortable. Two dislikes no area to put your personal stuff in the bathroom, toothpaste, mouthwash etc. And, no place to hang wet items . Secondly, no place to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather with visiting family and friends.

I had an absolute great time staying here , i will definitely be coming back. everyone was so nice and helpful. i love love love this hotel. best hotel in belize thank you all so much for your hospitality

The staff was exceptional, from the maids, restaurant workers all the way to the 2 managers (1-male 1-female) that we met. The construction was unbearable, although it was performed during the day, the constant hammering, and drilling felt as though our room was being remodeled. it was impossible to be in the room between 7AM to 7PM. We ended up moving 3 times, rooms 310/328/320.

Beautiful hotel lovely and friendly staff.. the water is not blue like the picture. It was not blue at all.. I was told it is rainy season. Which was very disappointing. So be aware when booking the water/ view is not like this all the time. Nonetheless a wonderful hotel.

The hotel manager and asst. manager were excellent. He was very accommodating with all challenges we encountered during our stay. Hotel construction, doors that don't lock properly, and poorly trained night and day desk clerks were a major cause for concern and irritation. Standard rooms are VERY small and do not allow for streaming during your stay. Suites are very nice, but patio door locks don't work on all patio doors.

Wonderful stay. Staff very pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. Room was exceptionally clean. The only issue is the construction noise as they are building more on the property. Convenient dining options and even enjoyed an in room massage by a private massage therapist as an offered service by the hotel.

This is a great and safe hotel to stay. The staff are excellent and accommodating throughout the facility. There is a convenience store with various items, from souvenirs to items for your home. I scored "good" on two items until all the developing projects are completed. I anticipate it will be a 5-star hotel and knock the other nearby hotels out of the sea. I have one suggestion and that is, to have a full Belizean meal on the menu (Rice and beans, stew chicken, potato salad).

Property is under construction to add more rooms. The noise isn't a problem at night but during the day its noticeable. The hotel dig give us free breakfast for the noise Staff was amazing no complaints otherwise

This hotel is a gem, right by the sea. I only gave it 4 stars because construction is underway and that can be wee bit too noisy during the day. Other than that, the staff is phenomenal. Special shoutout to the hotel front desk Supervisor Orlando and Jairo the best Vinto waiter.

When we arrived and found the hotel was building a significant addition (roughly doubling its size), we were a bit concerned about the construction noise; however, the staff provided cards for complementary Mocktails with dinner and a free breakfast for the inconvenience. The room was comfortable and had a refrigerator, bottled water, and outlets matching both US and non-US plugs. The store adjacent to the hotel to the hotel had everything--from groceries and alcohol to souvenirs and school supplies--almost like a WalMart or Target. The rooftop restaurant included an outdoor section that made it feel as if we were dining in a garden; there was a beautiful view and the food was good, too. It was definitely a good hotel choice!

Golden Bay Belize staff are incredible! From the moment we checked in we received outstanding customer service. It started with Orlando at the front desk. He was friendly, thorough and provided excellent service. The restaurant staff was the same! Top notch! The hotel is under going construction which was a disruptive to sleep in the morning but we received free breakfast as a courtesy during our stay. Thank you to Orlando and team!

My stay we great! Checkin was smooth, the hotel is clean. I took my 3year old and that went well. I would have appreciated black-out curtains in the room. Breakfast was good. My overall visit went well.

This is my go to hotel when I stay in Belize City. I have stayed here probably 10 times it's so clean and no other hotel in Belize can compare. The views from the rooftop bar/restaurant are awesome, unfortunately the food could be better although I did not eat there this time. The construction seems to be taking forever and eventually they will have a pool but guests should be aware of it-they start early. My room 312 was discounted and I found out that it had NO view anymore, only directly in a construction site-I'm not sure they should even rent that room out and normally I would not have stayed there but I just wanted a clean place to stay and sleep 1 night so it served it's purpose.

Room wasn’t ready for an hour and a half after I got there. There was constant noise from construction, and the room had maintenance issues

The hotel was great, right on the water. The staff was excellent, polite and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was good and very convenient.

The staff was great, and Holdan the restaurant supervisor was absolutely fantastic. I wouldn’t say there is a lot of shopping for what one may expect in upscale vacation spots like Cabo for example. In Belize city, this was excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much.
