Loved this place. Peaceful, intimate, surrounded by nature. The room was sparkling clean, and comfortable. Had a great night under the stars, sipping good wine, and making new acquaintances. I only suggest to book more than one night

Pricy, nicely upgraded lodging, nice grounds and common areas. Good, friendly staff. Convenient to local wineries and Solvang.

Fantastic Hotel, very spa like vibe thru out the property. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I ever slept in .. WOW..!! The garden and amazing trees felt very spiritual and Zen like ..

This room had no desk and no fridge- the basics were missing. I could never get on the internet which defeated my whole purpose of staying there to do some writing. Staff was uninterested in providing any service. There is no signage to tell people where to check in. I did not like anything about the place and felt it was overpriced and offered little to no amenities.

Bed is sooooo comfy!! Like a cloud!! Literally could’ve spent the whole trip in bed. However, if you like really firm beds then this is not for you. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. Loved all the amenities and easy parking.

Great quaint place. Close to downtown Solvang. Clean, great outdoor spaces. Staff is excellent! We will definitely return.

This is really a great place and a beautiful area. The motel has been completely renovated and is very on trend. Much set to appeal to millennials or gen z types. Shower in our room leaked badly across the floor no matter what we did. Also switch on lamp next to bed broken. Would be very easy to run a large bill on bar drinks and snacks provided at in room bar. Still waiting on my request for contact regarding mini bar charge when we didn’t take or use anything from the mini bar. This place has great potential. Very, very dog friendly.

It's generally difficult to find a good upper mid-range hotel in the USA. 2 and 3 star, yes, but meh. Then a big gap to 5 star and massive prices. But Hotel Ynez sits just nicely, a genuinely boutique hotel with a quirky feel, bang in the middle of wine country. Only improvement I'd suggest is maybe a centre-piece bar, but not much else. Nice place.

I really wanted to enjoy my stay at this beautiful property, but it just wasn’t possible with all the issues we experienced. There were many issues but I’ll state the most notable 1) there was a gardener blowing and cutting bushed directly outside our window for the entire Saturday (only full day we stayed) 2) the shower water does not stay hot and it would quickly and often turn ice cold in the middle of a shower 3) they allowed non guests to park in the parking lot because of a wedding party staying at the hotel which resulted in us and other hotel guests to find parking. Overall it was not conducive to a relaxing weekend. Oh, It should also be noted that while the property is beautiful, it is right by a busy road so it’s not quiet on the property. The staff was kind when we complained but ultimately I felt others trying to book should be aware.

If you're looking for a country style escape in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, I would highly recommend Hotel Ynez. This single story hotel is laid out in a horseshoe shape. The tastefully appointed guest units are on the outer sides of the "shoe", the reception area, lounge, breakfast area, gift shop, pool & spa areas are in the center of the shoe. The shoe surrounds a nicely landscaped area where you can relax below a gigantic oak in cushioned wood chairs by two gas fire pits, a bocce court and a grass area. My room was large, with a sink-into-comfort King bed. There's a large flat screen on the opposite wall, a writing table, and squeaky-clean and well-appointed bathroom. My room also features a small kitchenette with a beverage stocked vintage style fridge, and a well-stocked bar with top shelf liquor and bubbly, interesting hard cover bar craft books and a Nespresso machine. Dimmable lighting is featured inside and outside. The outside front patio has a round top country table and a hand-knit hammock should you want to doze off in the fresh Santa Ynez Valley air. The hotel is located conveniently in the heart of the Valley. A car or bicycle ride to the sights and tastes of Solvang, Santa Ynez, Ballard and Los Olivos are just minutes away. I stayed on Monday and Tuesday nights and predictably things were extra tranquil and relaxing at the Hotel Ynez and in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Affordable recently renovated hotel with very nice grounds. Nice continental breakfast. Pooch friendly.

The only thing I would ask, is that you Provide other electric car charging other than Tesla.

This was our first stay but it won’t be our last. We loved everything about Hotel Ynez. It was spotless and the bed and shower were great, as well at the breakfast. We especially loved the grounds and the fire pits. We had our bikes with us so we really appreciated our patio area (and hammock!).

A very quaint, clean and quiet hotel conveniently located between St. Ynez and Solvang on a nicely landscaped property. The hotel is newly built and this shows in the quality of the rooms and fixtures. For instance, each room has its own private courtyard with a covered area and hammock. The bathrooms have radiant heat in the floors, and it is all clean and contemporary. Couldn’t take full advantage of the fun grounds due to heavy rains, but there are lovely areas to chill by firepits or lounge under umbrellas. A real gem in a great hidden part of California.

We recently stayed at this lovely hotel for a mini vacation. The place is incredibly beautiful! The grounds are landscaped in a gorgeous California native /drought tolerant garden, with various cozy places to sit and hang out by firepits. The view past the road and parking area is a lovely country hillside landscape. There are amazing views and landscapes all around this area. It's absolutely amazing. The hotel staff here is very kind and accomodating. I don't think I've met such nice and friendly people working in the hotel industry. They went out of their way to help with the sound on our tv, so we could watch the Oscars! It was quite a fun and relaxing evening after a long drive. The rooms are very pretty with rustic modern decor including a pretty tiled fireplace that you flip on with a switch. It warmed up the space just enough when the night got chilly. I can't wait to come back and stay here again. This place is near shops and restaurants in Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos, all within driving distance. Santa Ynez is closest with a great restaurant I think it was called Red Barn? Very yummy. I highly recommend Hotel Ynez mostly becuase of the beautiful place and the wonderful people who work here.

This was our second stay with Hotel Ynez and my wife & I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing, welcoming weekend. We look forward to our next visit.

Loved the property, so relaxing with the hammock on the patio. The fire pit to enjoy with wine at night and coffee in the morning. Breakfast and coffee was so nice.

Good location, but the staff were pretty unhelpful. Our room smelled like bleach the entire time and when we asked to switch to a different room, they would only downgrade us to a smaller room. The walls were super thin, and a crying baby in the next room woke us up at 4am twice. Checkout was nonexistent as I’m still waiting for a receipt. They only have a parking lot that doesn’t have enough spots for the guests, so you have to find parking in a different place.

Beautiful property. Staff friendly. Nice breakfast. Rooms are nicely updated and comfortable. We’d stay again and would recommend to our friends.

Cute and quaint mini-resort. Our suite was very nice and romantic with steps out to the gorgeous courtyard. We rode the bikes Hotel Ynez offers around the area and enjoyed seeing the rolling hills and beautiful landscape. Thank you HY!
