Loud at all hours in hall, room smelled of smoke, ceiling in bathroom caving in, nightstand dirty.

Staff had the speed of a snail finding me a new clean room because my room wasn’t ready upon arrival. Ended up makingme late for my dinner reservation.

Thw property was updated stylishy, the room was updated nicely minus some stains in the tub surrounding and the ac/heat unit made horrrid noise all night. But other than that, thw stay was very good.

-We stayed 7 nights at this hotel and since we arrived the first impression was bad, there was no one at the front desk so looking for a person to help us we found the person drinking alcoholic drinks with another person who was not a hotel worker at the back of the front desk, she acted as if nothing had happened and served us in a very poor manner -Of the 7 nights they only did room service on 1 day and why did we do it otherwise it would never have been done and it was a bad service they only made up the bed they did not change the sheets or clean it was only a change of towels and they threw away the garbage -Breakfast is the same every day - Our room was apartment type and the kitchen had very few cooking utensils so if you go for a room like this be prepared to bring your own utensils - the rooms are not in very good condition, I was even able to find several small cockroaches. We stayed there for work and the hotel is actually in a very good area but it is not worth the price

Everything was great.. Only complaints were about cleanliness.. hallways was filthy and a few mold spots on the shower ceiling.. overall I'll book with them Everytime I'm in Chicago

The room was very nice and clean but there was no hot water in the room! Then there was a very loud party involving teenagers and young adults that were roaming all around the facility throughout the night!

1 of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while. Clean rooms as well as lobby area, nice friendly staff and the hallways always had a pleasant smell. Would definitely book again!

The hallway needed to be vacuum. The breakfast wasn't the best.

There was water damage on the floor of the living space the floor was flexing up, likely because the shower is wheelchair accessible and the bathroom flooded every time we showered and the water didn’t drain to the drain in the room. The shower curtain was moldy and the bathroom was not clean I found that out when I was mopping up the soaked floor with our towels.

The room was dirty. The sheets smelled bad. It was very loud with people partying in the hallway and blasting loud music. The hallways were filled with garbage not picked up.

I get that the hospitality industry, as well as other businesses, are challenged with labor issues. Regardless, our experience at the Mainstay Suites in Oakbrook Terrace was unacceptable. We arrived at check-in time and were told our requested room (2 queens) was not ready, so we had to take a king/sofa sleeper room. Upon returning from an event in the evening, we discovered there was no bedding in the room for the sofa sleeper. I went to the front desk and the clerk told me housekeeping was gone but they would bring linens in the morning, which did no good at all. When I pressed the issue, he went a got me a mattress pad and a sheet and told me that was it. Next morning, we noticed that the mattress pad had stains as thought it had not been washed. When I checked out, I mentioned all this to a different clerk at the front desk. She agreed this was unacceptable and the owner would call me. Haven't heard a thing.

Very comfortable beds. Room was nice and clean but it smelled like smoke even though it’s a no smoking hotel. Check in took longer than expected because as I was checking in, the person behind the counter left in the middle of the transaction to help a woman who came down, interrupted and said her fridge didn’t work. I was there first and felt I should have been taken care of first. The reservation said free breakfast but it was really just snack bars. I think they are working on having an actual breakfast but it’s under construction.

We like the layout of the room everything else was terrible. The breakfast consisted of two different granola bars, apples, applesauce, some type of fruit cup and small bottles of water. While booking this room they offered breakfast but when we got there they said it was a grab-and-go and trust me not much to Grab & Go. Unfinished construction (not being worked on either) around the property took up parking spaces.

While the staff while checking in were incredibly friendly, our room was pretty rough. We walked in to our window wide open, which took my husband 25 minutes to close because it was jammed. The room looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned. Tons of dirt and trash on the floor, hair in the shower, and stains all over the bed. Which the room smelled great, about midnight, the entire room reeked of marijuana. To each their own, but I didn’t appreciate it, especially when we paid for a non smoking room. The kitchenette was wonderful. It looked as if the property was getting redone, but it’s definitely in need of some work. Wonderful area though! Lots of shopping and food around.
