The room was nothing like the photos. Very old, terrible lighting, uncomfortable bed, bathroom in need of complete renovation. Rates were reasonable but everything advertised was misleading. Room had an odor, very damp. Random pieces of mismatched furniture.

Close to everything. Only problem is we got woke up by the room next door @2am screaming, yelling, crying.

Very clean and updated room. Great location The staff actually cares you picked them and they even have free post cards.

Room could have been more updated and cleaner, small bathroom very, little service or amenities like dirty clothes bags,etc. The hot cold fixtures in the shower and sink were reversed and the hot water can get too hot for a person to handle if you're not careful. Overall, the motel served the purpose because we didn't stay long, but we wouldn't stay there again.

For the money I feel I couldn't have done better. Good fishing spots just down the road. The downtown area was very busy on the Saturday I was there with festive activities and really good collection of Restaurants and activities.

We liked our stay here. This is the first time staying here and will stay again. The roo. Was clean, quiet, and very spacious. When I checked in the man was very friendly and helpful, he said our room wason the second floor. When I told him I requested a first floor because I'm handicapped and can't do the steps he changed us to a first floor room.

Very clean and organized. Staff is very tentative and accessable for anything you may need. I highly recommend this establishment for accomodations.

We love this hotel, always stay here when coming down to the area! Very clean, nice welcome when checking in. Very quick to help out or answer your request at any time of day. My only complaint was the cleaning ladies. Our check out time wasn’t until 11:00am and we got woken up at 8:05am to a very light knocking on our door I clearly called out “one minute” as I was trying to get dressed and answer the door thinking it was our family trying to walk over to our room that we were on vacation with. Before I could even get dressed and answer the door it started beeping oddly and the cleaning ladies were opening and walking into my room with their master key. (Thankfully we had the chain locked to the door so they couldn’t get it open far, we clearly had stated we brought our dog with us and I clearly was trying to get dressed). I opened my door and walked outside when I was ready, I looked at the lady and told her check out was not until 11am and I told her one minute and she looked confused and said back to me “ no hablo ingles” . I called the office and double checked when check out time was and let them know of what happened and all I was told is “I’ll let the manager know” and I never heard anything back after that. Overall it was a pleasant enjoyable stay per usual and we will stay there again but that was the only thing to watch out for on the day of checkout.

Ok for our one night stay.

The staff and management were absolutely horrible. My daughter’s room and my room were filled with bugs and we received no help from the staff or management. The room had brown banded cockroaches and brown recluse spiders. Absolutely disgusting. Beds were hard as a brick and very limited parking for guest. Absolutely horrible experience.

What was not an over the top hotel, the room was avaerage, the bed was comfy, the staff was nice and it was in a nice location for exploring the town. The only thing i would say is the the room could use and update. It was the perfect hotel for my work trip.

They have a virtual check in and check out; outsourcing checkins? Room was fine and basic, beds not comfortable, walls thin. It will do for a room under $90 but it’s not nice

Great value close to the Manteo waterfront. Old-ish property but very clean and tidy. Would have preferred an in-person check-in at 9 PM; however, the process via kiosk involving a video link with staff did go smoothly.

Rooms are dirty, smelly and intolerable. Feel very unsafe and noisy.

This hotel is a decent value, but it's an old motel in a good location on Manteo and expectations need to be appropriate for the hotel. The rooms are clean & spacious. Didn't have maid service which wasn't a problem. Was there to fish and enjoy the little island and not stay in hotel room and not have to worry about offending anyone with coming and going, and this hotel fit the bill. Has a small laundry facility. Parking lot was tight, maybe a bit of a security concern because a lot of people lounging in the parking lot. However, I'd come here again and stay for a fishing trip or casual vacay.

Hotel wasn’t soundproof like they say, you hear every word from the door but otherwise it was quiet! Never had an issue in a week. Definitely will stay here again.
