It felt like home😊. The staff were amazing! They went an extra mile to make sure we were happy. Cleaned the outside of our car everyday! That was amazing. Honestly Africa should build more homes using wood😁❤️

1. Apartment not maintained in the best shape with several cracked tiles in the kitchen and broken planks on the front porch 2. Bed for one of the bedrooms was really hard and uncomfortable to sleep on 3. Door to one of the bedrooms couldn’t close properly 4. Overall cleanliness is subpar— we found a bowl of a white unknown substance in the microwave that was not cleared out, the oven and freezer was also not cleaned for usage 5. The co-host was not sure of how to operate the cooler in the bedroom, and neither did she seem willing to help us figure out how to operate it. When we sought help, she simply replied “I don’t know” and left it as that. 6. While the host (Sylvia) was responsive and helpful initially, there was an issue with payment which left a bad taste where Sylvia was rude, extremely unprofessional, and displayed poor hospitality. According to our reservation, payment was to be made in USD directly to the accommodations. When we arrived, Sylvia did not initiate any discussions as to payment. On the day before check out, we reached out to her to confirm the quantum to be paid in USD. In response, Sylvia demanded that payment be made in the local currency. As we had previously sought her advice in finding a money changer, she assumed that we were changing money to make payment for lodging, and complimented herself for being “patient” with us when we did not initiate payment in local currency on the first two days of our stay. Despite our explanation, she resorted to accusing us for “asking a whole of questions on other things but not money”, even going so far as to direct a thinly veiled threat that “money is what gives the right to stay where you are”. While we understand that miscommunications may happen with regard to payment terms, she was unnecessarily aggressive and accusatory. Upon our arrival, never once did she broach the topic of payment or provide us a bill in the local currency.

The location is perfect for a getaway, quite serene. The property is a haven of comfort, it was so relaxing. The host is great, she checked in on us and attended to us almost immediately.
