When there's the disco on the roof it's impossible to sleep before 3:30 am...

This hotel has so much character and charm and is so close to the attractions of Casco Viejo that I was astonished it was such a good value. The receptionist was absolutely wonderful, as well. I ran into a lot of people that were pretty chilly when it came to dealing with tourists and she was just as warm and genuine and helpful as could be!

Be aware that this part of old town is aiming for the night/party scene. The upper floors, at least, of this hotel throb until 2 am with the thundering rooftop bar and even when it stops, you can hear (and feel) the neighboring establishments for another couple hours! Not for the light sleeper...

Loved the location, architecture, rooftop bar, two doors down from a great place to have breakfast.

These are things to keep in mind: the elevator goes up one floor, so you may have to carry luggage up narrow stairs. The air conditioning struggled a little to keep up.

Hot shower. Comfortabele beds. Location in the old town. Rooftop bar on top.

The hotel is situated in a nightclub. We stayed here in a weekend so we heard realy loud music until 4am both nights. Also we didn't have any daylight in our room.

I loved the location in Casco Viejo . The outside looks great but the room I had was big with tons of space like a small apartment but it’s so spacious . I had an upstairs bedroom with a comfortable bed with a big shower and bathroom . There is a lots of closet space and the kitchen has a refrigerator, stove and coffee maker like a real kitchen with a nice dining room . There is another small bathroom . The living room is so big . I was a solo traveler it was like being at my home even better very clean and comfortable . The rooftop bar is a great addition fun for a drink and so Excellent.. I can rave on and on how much I love the Oasis Hotel, the nice owner I met and the staff

the hotel room had all the amenities . it has a kitchen two bathrooms and large living room . it was super clean and convenient to everything in Old Panama . I loved it !!

This hotel did not provide a working shower in the room provided to my wife and me. We complained to the manager Isaac who told us it would be fixed. I was not fixed. The handle continually came off in our hands so for our 3 day stay from 2/20 until our departure 2/23 we had no shower. Also, the pillows provided were so large and stiff we could not use them The hotel had only one extra pillow for my wife. I used a towel. UNACCEPTABLE! We have pictures of the broken handle. The appartment was spacious, very pleasant and pretty decorated with arabic style. The location in Casco Viejo close to all shops, restaurant, touristic places is perfect.

Overall great location and clean bedding/sheets with housekeeping.

The room I was in had no windows and low ceiling so it was awkward getting up from one side of the bed. Staff was not very friendly or helpful (literally the guy just stood there while I lugged a big suitcase and heavy bag up the straits). I also left my luggage overnight since I went to San Blas but the door was unlocked so I as nervous that someone would take my luggage given that you need to enter the hotel to get to the rooftop and door was wide open for non guests to enter.

The location

Difficult gaining initial entry to the reservation desk. The fact that there was a roof top bar that played until 2 am.

1. Location!! The location of the Oasis Hotel in Casco Viejo is excellent and within easy walking access to nearby historical sites & restaurants. The atmosphere in and around the hotel felt safe being that the Presidential Palace is nearby, so there is a good police presence in the area. We easily walked to the Fish Market for dinner one night. There is an AM/PM convenience store a short distance for snacks, beer, and alcohol. Easy walk to Go Panama Bike Tours. We were easily picked up by tour guides from our location for trips to the Panama Canal, Monkey Island, and a catamaran trip. 2. Views: The view of Panama City from our Deluxe Suite with a Sea View was very nice from the balcony and could enjoy people-watching. 3. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and we had maid service every day except the day before we left (not sure why no service day before checkout). 4. Air Conditioning: The A/C units worked amazingly and kept the room as chilly as we wanted. 5. Room Space: We had more than ample room for 3 people in our room and never felt cramped. The setup is unique and the high ceilings made it feel very open.

1. Room Safe: The in-room safe had a nonfunctioning keypad. Instead, had to ask the front desk for a key, which the agent opened an unlocked drawer to retrieve. The key had no identification on it and turns out didn't work for the safe in our room. I wouldn't have used it anyway as I had no idea who else from the staff may also possibly have a key. Therefore, we did not use the room safe. I would have preferred to use a safe keypad to establish my own PIN. 2. Sofa Bed: We reserved a Deluxe Suite with Sea View to sleep 3 people as the site indicated the room had a "Sofa bed" in addition to a Queen Bed. In the room we stayed, the sofa bed did not pull out like a sleeper sofa/futon. It's just a sofa, which made for some uncomfortable sleeping for our adult-aged child traveling with us. 3. TV: While there is a flat-screen TV, there are no channels on the TV. This was not explained at check-in. Instead, there is a Chromecast device attached, so you need to download a Chromecast casting app to cast from your phone (YouTube, Netflix, etc.). You will need to ask the front desk staff what the WiFi password is for your room in order to connect. Wasn't a big deal setting this up, just wasn't expecting this and took a day to figure out why the TV wasn't working. 4. Rooftop Bar: There is a rooftop bar that plays really loud thumping music into the hours of the night some nights. Also, a rooftop bar across the street also plays loud music late into the night. Not a deal breaker, per se, just something to be aware of in case you need to sleep for early morning plans. 5. Breakfast: Website lists, "Oasis Hotel offers a continental or vegetarian breakfast." If this was available, I never saw it or was told anything about it. 6. Bedding: Despite reserving the room for 3 people, we were not provided any bedding for the "sofa bed" for our 3rd person.

Fantastic location and beautifully done

Location was excellent - a great spot to explore Casco Viejo. Our room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Views from the rooftop bar are the best in Casco Viejo - truly stunning. The front desk staff was very helpful. There is really good little restaurant next store that serves excellent breakfasts.

Parking options are not good, and were not well explained. Paid way more to park than expected and had to walk a considerable way back to the hotel. The rooftop bar plays very loud music. You can hear this in your room til very late. Thankfully we had good earplugs!

the room had no real windows, just glass blocks, so made it a bit gloomy but on the upside the room was nicely quiet

It was noisy until late at night. There's a nightclub on the roof, open Thurs - Sat I think, and you can clearly hear all the music playing until about 2am
