Super location. Great space and view of the mountains. Very well appointed chalet with everything needed for up to two families.

Stayed here for a long weekend with 4 adults. View is superb, and appartment (ground floor and 1 bedroom on 2nd floor) spacious enough for our stay. Could imagine with 10 it becomes a bit crampy. Kitchen was good, dining area could seat 10p and living area is cosy around the stove (wood pallet burner). Owner lives on top floor, only speaks a little English but we were able to communicate in a Anglo-French mixture. Owner was friendly and helpful. Definetely recommended!

The apartment was well equipped, warm and clean and had fantastic views of the mountain and cable cars opposite, there is a supermarket 5 minutes drive away and you can walk down into the pretty town of Samoens and to the ski lifts. Unfortunately the rental was let down by hidden extras and little touches i.e we would have appreciated fresh milk in the fridge as we arrived late (although the owner did give us some of his milk when we asked) and fresh hand soap would have also been good. Also to note is that there is just one toilet for the 12 people occupancy. The main problem was the cost of the linen hire, we were given a fairly high price initially without him knowing how many sets we wanted, when we told him how many we required it was still the same price, when we asked for a breakdown the figures he gave us per bed set did not add up so we queried it, he then argued that we had used more sets of linen than there are in fact beds to justify the price which was just silly! The beds were not even made up ready for us. I also enquired just before our stay whether towels were included and he said they would be prepared with the linen, never telling us they would cost even more, so we presumed they were included in the linen pack. When we came to leave he presented us with a hefty bill saying the towels were an extra cost on top of the bed set price, it was very embarrassing as we didn't have enough euros left and scrabbled around giving him all we had, the owner doesn't speak any english and our french is minimal so it was difficult to argue the point. It could have been a fantastic stay but we felt the cost excessive for sheets and towels on top of the chalet hire (which he also raised after we had made our booking and paid our deposit) so other travellers need to make sure they clarify all the extras with him. Obviously all messages between us are visible to homeaway so they are taking up my complaint. A shame!
