Nice and clean, very quiet. Entrance to room is cramped and AC did questionable cooling. Staff was excellent and very professional.

Close to train station and the old town, Mainz cathedral. Close to dining options and a grocery store.

We felt that the room was very small and the quality of towels was very poor

Specifics asked by the automated review were at good rating. However, the following were lacking: - there were no face towels, only one large towel per person. - power outlets were only at the floor level and on one side of one bed. - the elevator did not work, door not closing properly - room key failed if someone was already in the room (in the shower) I got stuck outside. Thought the key was faulty...

Desk staff tended not to be too friendly and somewhat rigid. Room had a king-size bed advertised but it was only a queen

Rented 9 rooms for two nights. My favorite ibis. Only problem is guy who checked in most of us complained we were on nine Expedia reservations, which wasn’t true. We were on two.

Ibis Hotels are reliable in their cleanliness and comfort. The hotel was easily walkable to the S-Bahn, the Rhine walking/running path, and the Altstadt/Cathedral.

The bed was comfortable and the room Spacious and clean. I can recommend staying here

Nice property. Easy walk to alt stadt. Breakfast was good. Excellent cofee choices. Staff was diligent about getting room number for surcharge. Wifi went out and was spotty first day. Second nightt was revolved.

The Hotel is very basic. There are no coffee or tea facilities in the room. The location is nice, close to the river and the city center. The staff at the reception is not very friendly in contrast of the super friendly breakfast staff.

No frills stay for a fair price. Travelled during active corona restrictions made the stay slightly more cumbersome but that’s ultimately not up to Ibis.

Looking at the room and the hotel, this is absolutely a budget hotel. However, the price of the hotel, once you pay for breakfast and parking is higher than a typical budget price. Also the room was very stuffy with very little air and the 'air-conditioning' only heated, it could not be used to circulate air. Opening the windows allowed a lot of traffic noise in. Summary - not a comfortable night, I will try not to stay here again.

Very clean, efficient check-in and check-out, good Wi-Fi connection in room and throughout the hotel, very good breakfast. Nice location near a train station featuring Roman ruins (not the main station for Mainz, but that was fine) and many interesting sites and dining options within easy walking distance, including a free museum across the street. The room is small with very basic amenities, but this is a budget hotel, and it was totally fine for one person for 3 nights. My only complaint was the twin bed I had in my room was VERY firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. It was also really small -- I'm a smaller person so that was fine, but it might be too small for a tall or large person.

I was only at the Ibis for one night, but the staff was very accommodating, including letting me have a late checkout since I was waiting for my husband and his flight into Germany was delayed. The room was comfortable and quiet and so close to the train station. It was so convenient to get around the city!

Really great location for exploring Mainz. Nice size room and well appointed. Nice big car parking spaces and very secure car park. Very limited vegan/ vege options at breakfast, although there was vegan butter. staff were helpful but not overly friendly

Unenthusiastic staff with a poor breakfast choice

The room is comfortable and clean. The room heater is working well during our winter stay. The whole hotel looks new too. A great location with just a few mins walk to train station. From hotel to Mainz main town by walking is only 5-10minutes. Supermarket is only few minutes from hotel too. We met a super friendly staff, Luca. He recommended us a good place for local German food and drinks.
