On the positive side, employees are kind and try to be helpful and breakfast was fine. The downside, for close to 200 per night including taxes, the hotel is not worth the money. In our initial room, the bathroom door was too swollen to work properly. It couldn't close fully, and if one managed to close it enough for privacy, it was very difficult to open to get out of the bathroom. Due to this, we switched rooms. In the second room, the hotel phone and tv remote didn't work, the shower/tub lever didn't properly divert water to the shower head so that one had a very light shower with mostly water coming out for a tub bath. The bathroom floor was nasty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, hard to understand how that happens. The desk chair was completely and obviously torn, really not what one expects to find in a hotel room for close to 200 per night. I didn't have expectations of a luxury hotel, but at what price point might one expect a decent room with everything in working order. Would not stay here again.

It was clean, but needed updating. No bathroom counter or plug close to the mirror.

Very pleasant day, but I did not have a great deal of confidence in the hygiene of any area when I discovered that the previous guests’ soap was still in the shower.

Was a nice hotel. I would stay again if I'm in the area.

Wifi was bad. Breakfast was bad. Food was not labelled. Breakfast timings were 6am-10am but if you showed up after 9am a lot of the food items like milk and yogurt would be gone with no one to restock it. Overall a very average hotel.

Good hotel for what we paid. Other guests were really loud and partying but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Will stay again.

Perfect for my quick stay before an early flight at AVL the next morning.

The Clarion is a convenient place for lodging and catching those early morning flights from AVL. The price is very reasonable, the room was clean, and the free breakfast was robust and good too. Lots of good restaurants nearby. I'll be staying there again.
