The place is very nice and also very affordable compared to other places near the beach. I will say the service and vibes were amazing the only thing I can complain about is the stench of weed in our room. We constantly spray Febreeze and also a bath and body room spray and none of it worked. So I really hope they work on trying to get rid of the smell of weed as that smell can make others very nauseous. As for the breakfast it was great and the waffles probably had to be my favorite. Overall I would recommend this place to my friends but definitely not families unless you get lucky to get a room that doesn’t have that smell.

Lovely staff, clean and nice hotel, comfy and quiet room, in a walkable and convenient area. Very close to the Grove, where we saw Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Would stay there again.

Staff was very helpful and rooms were very clean. They were able to check us in early and give us rooms next to our other party members. The breakfast was good with lots of options. My only complaint was the pool area. The hot tub is very small and it was a different color than the pool after so many people had been in it. The pool had several globs of hair floating in it. I would still stay here again because of the friendly staff and cleanliness.

Large and very clean room. Comfortable king size bed. Osvaldo at the front desk was very helpful, and nice. He really cares about his job. Breakfast was good, with some healthy options.

Everything was great. They just need to get rid of the easy chair because those get gross quickly. I’m sure the one in our room was clean, but the stains made it look really gross.

This was the perfect place to stay to enjoy a day in S. Cruz. Kid-friendly, walking distance from a burger place, easy parking, a sweet little pool to splash in, and a nice big room for 2 adults, 3 kids. We will do it again as soon as possible!

Room had very strong chemical smells and was stuffy. When we arrived there was drain-o in the toilet which had been clogged and debris was constantly coming up. Sink would not drain. Carpet was filthy. Hair in the sheets. Would not recommended.

Older hotel like all in Santa Cruz. It served it's purpose as an overnight stay.

The entrance is on a one way street so it’s inconvenient to enter. The front desk staff was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Our main complaint was the breakfast was just okay. No meat or eggs. No hot cereal. The dining area was too small and so it was crowded. The hotel needs more than one person managing the breakfast area. It was too much for just one person. Coffee was good but when we checked out, the lobby coffee was cold and about empty.

The hotel was just ok: mostly clean, not the most comfortable bed (nor the least), and the breakfast was pretty average. Nothing unique or special about this place but we didn’t come to Santa Cruz for the hotel, so it worked for us. You pretty much get what you pay for. Good place to stay on a budget.

Tried calling to say we’d be late many times no answer. Showed up rang the buzzer no answer lobby dark. Finally not loudly on the glass and a lady who apparently had been sleeping on a chair around the corner up and let me in. Otherwise fine air conditioner made it loud clunk when turning on

It was cleaner than most motels. The beds were not very comfy but the jet tub was nice.

We had 3 friends from France visiting and we came to Santa Cruz to enjoy the Boardwalk and surrounding area. It's about 4 miles from the Boardwalk. The hotel was clean, and someone was always cleaning somewhere on the property. That is very nice to see. When we ran out of conditioner in our room, it was refilled while we were away and they gave us fresh towels while they were in the room. Very nice. Breakfast was a little weird. No eggs, why??? but they had potatoes and some kind of meat. Not sure what that was about. Eggs are a standard for a hot breakfast. But there was waffles, cereals, a variety of breads, yogurts, and some apples and oranges. A nice variety to get us out the door each morning. The pool was nice and heated. Spa out of order, too bad. Also a nice sitting area inside the office area. Comfortable chairs to sit and read. The walls are thin and there was a heard of elephants in the room above us. Also, people talking outside in the common areas can be heard at all hours. Best to bring a set of ear plugs or ear phones to help with that issue. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this motel and will most likely stay there again in the future.

Property was kinda tricky to pull into the parking lot. However, guest service was great, towels replenished. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Free WiFi included and there's a pool.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my girlfriend and I had during our recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our stay: 1. **Pool Condition**: The swimming pool was extremely dirty, which made it impossible for us to use it. 2. **Hot Tub Hygiene**: The hot tub was also very dirty, preventing us from enjoying it. 3. **Room Odor**: The room we were given had a very unpleasant smell, which made our stay uncomfortable. 4. **Staff Conduct**: The behavior of the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, which added to our dissatisfaction. Given these concerns, we were unable to enjoy our stay and feel very disappointed with the level of service and cleanliness at your hotel. Decent free breakfast with variety of yogurt-cold cereal-cheese-banana muffin and whole milk. Alas no soy milk. Clean sheets and convenient self service laundry. McDonald within walking distance. I would stay here again

Had a great stay. Upon arrival observed a nice clean facility. Check in was a breeze. The room was very nice and clean. Also enjoyed the continental breakfast and fitness room. Another thumbs up to the cleaning staff they were excellent and friendly. Will definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to family/friends.

I liked the breakfast a lot. It offered sausage, potatoes, waffles, breads, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, string cheese, fresh fruits, and danish. Didn't use the pool etc. Friendly staff. The only complaint is that windows can't be opened. We are light sleepers, so we turned off the air conditioner as it would wake us up. We woke up from the hot and stuffy air. Room was clean. Wish that we can open the windows. It can also save the hotel electricity if we don't need to use the air conditioning.

Nice hotel and nice staff. More like a motel so no bar area or food apart from the free breakfast. Good location to travel around the area but the neighborhood isn’t great at night.
