Hotel was old and needed updating. Phone charger stations in my room didn’t work. Balcony was so small you couldn’t fit a chair on it to sit down. No smoking allowed on balcony even with door to room closed. $350.00 fine. Very overpriced at $250.00 a night. early check out required a forfeiture of one nights room fee.

The staff was great and the allowance of us to bring our dogs was helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tides. We came the week after Labor Day so getting into the off season. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a beautiful unobstructed ocean view. Parking is easy and we never needed to use our car. We were able to walk to bars, restaurant, shops, etc. within a few blocks.

The service is what made this stay most enjoyable. Everyone was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and did their job a efficiently.

Location directly on the beach is rarely found at this affordable price. We enjoy parking the car once and being able to walk wherever we go.

I love this place. I think they are in the process of renovating some of the rooms. The place has been here forever and needs a little facelift. Best place to go if you have a dog, especially in the off-season. I come here several times a year.

We enjoyed an upper level room that had been completely remodeled ~ new flooring, bathroom, etc. We loved having an ocean front view ~ although it took two of us to open and close the sliding glass door (it was not recently replaced). The beds were comfortable, but were soft and a bit lumpy like they had maybe not replaced the mattresses, but added toppers. Overall it was really nice, although there was an incident a couple of doors down from us where a man had beat up another man. Lots of uniformed people and emergency vehicles and after they all left a woman was crying and wailing on the balcony until almost midnight. Not the hotels fault, of course, but lots of noise and commotion.

Staff was friendly and attentive. From the bellhops to the front desk to the bar and wait staff - all very good. Property is in a great location. Right in the center of it all in Folly. . .on the beach, near the pier and many dining and drinking options.

Location is great! The property could definitely use an update.

Great experience. Stayed for one night but we will be back for a longer stay next time.

We enjoyed our stay due to the nice staff and the area however the broken elevator put a damper on it. This place could use some upgrading and maintenance. Lovely folks, great location and the restaurants and shops were all A+++. Would come again.

One of the 2 elevators was broken, so the wait for the working elevator was long and there was no AC in it!! The in-house coffee house served Starbucks coffee, the food was yummy in the restaurant. The staff was lovely.

Would be nice if both elevators worked.

The staff was great!!! But... the facilities are very old, out dated, and had a lot of rust and mildew. The pictures online are deceiving.

We loved our stay at Tides! Hotel was great & we loved spending our days by the pool & beach!

Hotel room and location was awesome. Dining was great at Lost Dog and Pier 101. Room was very comfortable, and view was fantastic. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Biggest issue is the hotel has 9 floors with only 2 elevators for quests and housekeeping. One elevator was not working, and it took sometimes 30-45 minutes to get downstairs from the 8th floor.

Staff was extremely friendly and great!!! Great location. Parking was limited on the weekends which stunk because we should have been able to park whenever we needed to. Hotel rooms were a little lacking- no microwave and walls were a little dirty.

The staff are so friendly and helpful! They were always available and easy to find. The guy even loaded my car for me on the morning we were headed home. Actually went and got a couple of pool towels to support my beach chair so it wouldn’t move on the drive. We will definitely go back. We are Tides family now!

Very friendly staff- kind courteous-offered help alot ! Beds were comfy&clean Beach area is def too crowded Some very rude people out there who were staying at Tides as well.

The staff is always great! Super friendly and welcoming. However, this was the 3rd time I've stayed here and one or both of the elevators have been out of order. Seems like a small thing, until you're lugging beach gear and suitcases up and down stairs with groups of grumpy dads. Ha.

The property is beautiful the way it faces the beach. It’s just a little dated and needs to be upgraded a little bit but other than that it was a very nice place.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. Checked out early and discussed issues with the manager.

Tides was great!! We truly enjoyed our vacation so much. Our room was nice with amazing ocean and pier views. I can't say enough about all the staff!!! Everyone we encountered was friendly and very helpful. NICO we love you thanks for all your awesomeness!!!!
