Lovely refurbished hotel, breakfast was great, staff friendly and helpful

Nice, clean room, staff are professional and polite, the location is ideal for my visit, and the food is of a reasonable quality if not outstanding. It was noteworthy that the towels in the bathroom are both soft and of a decent size. The bed was a bit spongey, the pillows too hard, and the duvet too heavy. There were only two sweeteners with the coffee, which isn't enough, and the onscreen information is out of date. Signage within the hotel is poor.

Friendly and helpful staff on reception. The room was 'adequate' .... that is by no means meant as a negative. There was all the facilities expected, nothing outstanding. Good choice of lovely food, all well signposted with allergens etc. The Jacket Potatoes on Saturday were delicious!!

We stayed for a night in their 2 bedroom apartment, room 115. On the surface, all looked good but upon closer inspection the place needs a good clean. You can write your name in the dust on the blinds, there was left over cereal in one of the cupboards, hair in the bath and the carpets were filthy behind the doors so they obviously just hoover around things. The toilet had come away from the wall causing our daughter to nearly fall off and there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke while laying in the main bed. Not sure if the smell was from the mattress or coming from other rooms. No information was given to us about the hotel when we checked in although the receptionist did point us in the direction of the room as it’s up several different flights of stairs. There isn’t a lift and so if you aren’t able to hump your luggage up lots of stairs this might not be the hotel for you! We weren’t impressed and will not be returning.

Nice large friendly Holiday Inn Room air conditioning didn’t work but reception provided a fan straight off so no problem at all Breakfast team were very good even Sunday morning with loads of young rugby teams staying everything was well stocked and tables constantly cleared and clean The breakfast choice was excellent as was the food quality

Overall service was good,however there was a rug in my room which made the room have a smell.

Good breakfast Not so good, bed very soft, pillows solid, not having our included mini bar restocked, being put next to the air conditioning fans when asked for a quiet room, AC in room not efficient, paying extra for parking.

From the very friendly welcome at check in, through to equally friendly check out. All the staff are friendly and always smiling. The room was good, large, and comfortable. Breakfast absolutely excellent. Lots of choice, everybody's catered for. There's a couple of supermarkets close by. A pub at the top of the road, The Red Lion, and a well serviced bus to the city centre if needed. My only irritation was some other guests! Why people think it's ok to let their room doors slam, especially later in the night, equally annoying is the need to have loud conversations across the corridors. This is no fault of the hotel. This is just peoples ignorance. Overall though, I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn. I will certainly stay again.

My stay was cut short due to my van getting broken into and all my tools stolen. I was parked under a camera close to the entrance. I understand hotel is not responsible for my vehicle but I still had to pay for the room on the last day. Didn’t think much of the hotel customer service. Hotel itself was lovely.

Hotel was nice, but being a Motorway junction hotel, not much in area understandably, but close enough to the Hospital for my purposes. Noise from televisions in neighbouring rooms could be heard, but I'm sure they could hear mine too, but other than that a very enjoyable stay with very nice food.

At the Holiday Inn, the room was relaxing and comfortable. At first we were given what I considered as a tiny room and adjustment was made after we paid extra money to be moved to a much bigger room. The environment was neat but mini bar was empty, the breakfast was contented and delicious. Overall, our stay was good 👍

Staff friendly amd helpful. Quiet room. Plenty of power sockets with usb. Wide choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Bed was rather small. Takes a long time to get hot water for a shower, which wastes water. TV was missing several channels .

Excellent service

I have stayed in this hotel several times. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I usually give 5 stars across the board but I gave 4 stars for condition and facilities because the toilet was difficult to the point of impossible to flush. On reporting it to the reception, I was informed that they already knew of the issue but ‘had not got round’ to sorting it. I feel that this was quite an important issue that should have been resolved in between guests.
