We stayed in an ocean front king room. Love this view, fire pits and scenic walk. My problem was the couple above us, Sounded like they were moving furniture at 2;30am. Then they were up at 5:15 walking , showering, toilet flushing 5 times, etc... all this went on for 2 hours!
Totally ruined my morning. Take my advice and only stay upstairs. And for those of you staying upstairs, please be kind to the guests below you!!!

Not clean and extremely expensive for the quality we got. Feels like walking into an old motel from the 70s.

Very poor service. Front desk was not friendly. First day we spent 45 minutes getting room keys and the key card wouldn’t work and we had to go back and forth with hr front desk with a 3 month old.
Curtains and towels were stained
They did not clean our rooms despite requiring room service.

Decent place to stay, no frills, partial views of the ocean, access to the coastline and right off the main road. For the price, I would pick something nicer, but it felt safe and it was clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Spyglass. The front office staff was very welcoming and even let me borrow a wine bottle opener so that I could drink wine I purchased in edna Valley. Our room was very welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed the partial ocean view from our room balcony. We enjoyed sitting at the fire pit in the evening as we enjoyed our wine.Overall, our stay was very enjoyable. Lastly, I love its proximity to the highway which made it easy to travel north and south.

This was a one night stay for my wife and I! Elizabeth at the front desk was outstanding! The property is in an excellent location. My only complaint is that the rooms are in major need of renovation.

We had a wonderful stay at Spyglass. We enjoyed the Spyglass restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Enjoyed the sunset on the walkway and spent time in the hot tube.

In 117 the toilet paper holder needs to be moved closer to the toilet. Also, a bath mat would be useful.

The room was spacious and clean. Though it was quite dated for the pricing. The bed was comfortable and we had a first floor ocean view which was great.

It is a nice property and in a good location. One minor issue I had though was that they booked someone right next to our room. That’s usually not a big deal but the hotel was pretty empty. There’s no way they were over 50% occupied. The people next to us checked in late and with shared walls it was a little loud for a bit, thankfully they were quiet through the night. It would have been nice for both of us if they would’ve just separated us a bit. Didn’t look like it would have been a problem..

Perfect romantic getaway. King room with a fireplace is worth every penny - I believe these are the only rooms that face the ocean. Nothing more relaxing than hearing the waves! Also loved being able to charge our EV (outlet only, used a mobile charger).

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Spyglass Inn. Next time I stay upstairs so I can enjoy the water from the second floor.

Epic view and relaxing area off the patio. Lots of great restaurants super close by. No immediate access to the beach but epic views. Their restaurant was delicious. The s’mores fire was an amazing way to wrap up a long day of travel. Only negative is that the pool is in the parking lot.

NO A/C rooms were warm but you could leave your window open for breeze but people walking around can see directly in your room.
