We paid extra for a poolside room. When we arrived they had given our room away and tried telling us that they had given us an upgrade! We paid extra for the poolside room! According to the website, the poolside rooms cost more which is why ours was gone and had been given away!! Total Bait and Switch here!

I️ had to find a last minute place to stay. I️ called with some questions, they were answered quickly and accurately, booked my night. Check in was super easy and fast. I️ was in my room in less than 5 minutes. The room was clean and beautiful! I️ was surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine! Had a bite to eat at the tiki bar, food was great. Bed comfortable! I️ was exhausted from my trip and they were able to provide me with a complimentary late check out! I️ highly recommend! My next trip to Tampa I’ll be staying with them again.

Staff was all nice except for the security guard who greeted us on the evening of October 19 around 9 pm. He was rude maybe having a bad day but I work in hospitality and his greeting was lousy.

I called to ask about my reservation and was told my stay was cancelled. On a cruise ship during the hurricane and our cruise was extended due to unsafe travel conditions. I called to ask about my reservation, the lady was rude and said they didn't reopen until Wednesday. when I asked again about my reservation, she didn't respond, so I asked twice thinking she couldn't hear me. She responded "I said we don't reopen until Wednesday!" I told her thank you for your rude customer service, I hope you have a great day. SO RUDE and very unprofessional. So I didnt' get to stay and can't offer any other details for this review! Not happy, no notification of the cancellation and I haven't been refunded yet!

I was a little skeptical when I pulled up to the property. It's definitely older and doesn't look amazing from the outside. Because the hallway I was on was completely open on one end, it seemed damp and had a weird smell. But the interior of the room was fantastic. Completely redone. I was shocked how different it looked compared to the outside. Beautiful floors, nice kitchen and comfy beds. The pool and deck area was nice. Tiki bar had good food and the bartenders were great! A little bit surprised that it closed at 10pm even on the weekend, but not an issue. The view of the sunset from the room balcony was incredible. I definitely stay here again.

I love the views at this location. Pool gives awesome ocean views as well. There was no cleaning service during the stay. Rugs in the room felt and looked dirty. There were ants inside the room and i had to ask for extermination. The condition of the room was mediocre. Tub had peeling paint. There wasnt clear communication during check in process about the place. People live in some of the rooms so my 1st night was horrible as the upstairs tenant decided to move funiture at 3am. After i lodged a complaint it didnt happen again.

Room was clean and had a nice kitchen and good view. Room had a lot of storage and would have been good for long term stay. Room smelled strongly of mildew which lessened by the second day but was still there. Smelled like weed the following day. Outdoors on balcony and in immediate surroundings there was a strong sewage smell. Breakfast not available until 8:30 am so don't plan on eating at hotel if you are an early riser unless you make it in your room. Very close to some nice restaurants and in close proximity to the Tampa Airport. Hotel also has plenty of parking. All in all it was an okay stay but probably would not revisit.

It was convenient for our purposes the susnsets were amazing, the live music on Friday was very good. The food at the on site cafe was good. The decoration was dated and the dishwasher was extremely loud

The elevator is extremely hot and slow. Young man at check in was nice. Room was dirty and had an odor. We had to buy air freshener. All furniture was dated and very uncomfortable and had an odor as well. The bed was so uncomfortable we didn’t get much sleep. There was food crumbs behind the bathroom door. Dirt throughout the rooms. I bought cleaning supplies
And cleaned myself. Not a fan of having to go to the office to get towels and wash clothes everyday because we were told housekeeping doesn’t come until you check out. This place has definitely went down since the last time we stayed there. In desperate need of updates. One night had to call front desk for security because people were yelling and fighting down the hall. The balcony and view was probably the best thing there.

My son and I book this place for his surprise proposal to his girlfriend. This place is NOT xlean as the pictures and other revoews say. The shower head look lime it has NEVER been clean, we foungld pubic hairs in some of the towels. The tub is cracking and a coat of paint would not hurt the place. I will not recommend.

I was honestly very disappointed the room it is very outdated and as someone that frequents the Godfrey this was supposed to be an upgrade and it was not at all. The furniture is scuffed and old the carpet is definitely ready to be replaced with something new tile wood anything but not that. Definitely not what i expected

Our room smelled like smoke, which was unfortunate and the area had some cleanliness issues. But the pool was amazing, the bar on site was great and they even had great live music friday night. Beautiful location. Honestly if they could fix the smoke smell in the room it would have been perfect.

I think the stay would have been better if they actually came by to clean the room at least one of the days we stayed, and if there wasn’t dust and ants all over the bedding it would probably has been fine. I understand bugs and it being Florida we dealt with it. On Wednesday I asked for the room to be cleaned and new bedding and more towels even requested a broom so I could sweep and clean myself by Friday still nothing I called down and was told well they only clean on certain days and Thursday was one of the days. Well they never even came to our room Thursday plus we had ants and a ton of dust everywhere the reason we requested new bedding. I ended up purchasing a broom which needed to be left behind because it didn’t fit in our luggage. With this being our first time in florida and staying at this place I would have expected it to be a tad bit better.

Fishing Dock is nice but closed at 10pm. Rock wall so fishing is limited and tide is a factor.

The view is amazing! Great access to pool and other areas. Only thing is the customer service needs improvement. They don’t follow through when asked things even though they say they wooo take care of it - they don’t. It happened several times during our stay.

We have stayed here multiple times. The room we had this time was by far the most updated. Some rooms are not as much as this room. The only negative is that we left a day early for personal reasons. We gave more than 24 hours notice but they would not reimburse the one night because we had booked through Expedia. Apparently if we had booked directions through them the would have.
