The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating of our early-check in request. Our room was clean and our stay was comfortable. The pool/hot tub area needs some renovation/refreshing. Overall the hotel is pretty outdated for the price you pay to stay here… Over $600 for a two night stay in September.

Last night we had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn in Montrose. I booked a last minute stay at like 8pm because of a nightmare hotel we were booked at that had literal pee stains in the bed. I had been traveling all day with 3 small kids who were exhausted and hadn’t napped and I just wanted to bathe them and put them to sleep. I walked into the Holiday Inn crying out of frustration and Whitney stepped in and went above and beyond to help me. They didn’t have a room big enough for my group and she brought us a roller bed and upgraded us into a suite so the roller could fit. She offered popsicles to my exhausted kids and even brought coloring sheets and crayons. She turned our horrible night around and we honestly had a rock solid night of sleep in a comfortable and safe and CLEAN hotel. Thank you Whitney!!! Give this girl a raise!

Attentive staff in all areas—front desk, housekeeping, food service. Hotel compares favorably with more expensive Hampton Inn. Good job!

The property location and staff was great. Now the bed and the smell of the room was not. The room smell dirty and the bed was not comfortable at all.

The swimming pool was a really great size for a hotel pool. It was also open really early and late which was really nice! Breakfast had many options and was tasty. Great location and cool artwork on walls! Defiantly would stay again.

The property is pretty dated the pool and hot tubs have failing paint. Looks really dirty . Bathrooms and rooms are pretty dated . I paid a premium for a room that was mid grade at best

I don’t think I’ve ever been is such a dirty room. The upper corner of the shower curtain where apparently everyone grabs to pull was visibly dirty. There were several long hairs in the bathtub. Made me wonder if it had even been cleaned. I honestly didn’t want to touch anything in the room. They’re doing exterior renovations to the building this summer (‘04) but they should have started on the interior. It’s terribly dated. The same bathtub that was filthy also creaked when you stepped in. We all wondered if we were going to end up in the floor below us. This was certainly not the HI express I’ve come to expect. I’d never recommend this place.

The staff at this hotel were so kind to us. as an elderly couple they understood our need for a room close to everything and easy assess. The breakfast was great. There were plenty of choices for a nutrious meal. the food was at the right temperature and delicious. We would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to downtown area and food options. Grocery store right next door which was convenient to restock some supplies. Good breakfast, however they were out of cinnamon rolls by 7:30 which is unacceptable if breakfast is served till 9:00. Not a big deal but ruined what was an enjoyable stay.

Front desk women were helpful and informed. First floor hears footsteps above which could be a nuisance. Breakfast included was the best at a hotel buffet I've used, and staff in breakfast room hustled to accommodate everyone! Coffee could be stronger and better quality. Overall a nice hotel with good staff! Would recommend and stay again

The room smelled like smoke and didn’t seem worth the $250 a night:( it was close to the hospital for my procedure. The staff member Whitney was amazing!!
