Stunning location as always with great dining options nearby. Good room but misleading photos as was ground floor not upper floor with balcony. Disappointed the heater was broken in spa/pool and no urgency about fixing it. Needs to be working especially in winter months. Hotel chat system for service inquiries also not working. Not the five star experience we’ve always had here before.

Property very good. NuNu excellent. Cairns Aquarium excellent. Kuranda Butterfly Sanctuary has a sign outside saying open over a picture of a Ulysses Butterfly but after viewing when asked where they were told they haven't had any since 2015!! Mosman Gorge worth the visit.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It's located in a beautiful walkable area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed and would stay here again.

Had an excellent stay at the Alamanda which started from the time we arrived. Room was very spacious and had an ensuite and bathroom. We had the 1 bed suite with pool view which was convieniently located across from the pool on the ground level. Just be aware that there are no lifts so if you happen to have an apartment on the upper levels, you will need to take the stairs. Lots of dining options around which we tried a few during our stay (NuNu, Chill at Portovillo and even the Tavern hidden down a pathway). Will definitely stay next time and bring the entire family!

Amazing resort on a great stretch of beach with tons of delicious food options. The resort itself had a very tropical feel to it and Palm Cove was a great beach that is an easy drive to Cairns.

Perfect location close to restaurants and right on the beach. Shopping centre about 20 minute walk. Three pool areas. We had suite 1 which is on the beach, would definitely return to Alamanda and ask for the same suite.

Great location. Lovely staff. Unfortunately for the price I paid I wasn't expecting a room with a set of internal stairs, folding wooden door and window shades and an easily openable door to the balcony which had a low rail and furniture to climb on. Not the best for travel with a young child

Ground floor beachfront apartment provided easy access to the pools & beach. Sitting on the front deck looking out to the sea was so relaxing. The on-site restaurant was superb as were other restaurants within walking distance. Have already recommended this accommodation to friends.

We got 2 beds apartment facing the pool. It’s very clean and spacious, the house looks super new, the bed is very comfortable We were at the 4th floor, unfortunately this place doesn’t have a lift in case you have big luggage.

This was my second stay at this property and once again I loved every moment. Booked 2 bedroom sea view room and it was amazing Great views, large balcony, spacious rooms.Very clean and comfortable beds This is a beautiful looking hotel with gorgeous gardens There are 3 pools.Such a relaxing property Special big thank you to staff member Dan who went out of his way. First time staying here with my husband and no kids! Location is perfect and the surrounds are beautiful. Walking distance to everything. Staff were really lovely. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom which was lovely but really way to big for our needs. The furniture is really ageing and not really what you’d expect for 5 star. The built in lounge probably the most uncomfortable lounge I’ve ever sat on! Kitchen was lovely. The pools were great and temperature was perfect. Glad it had an adults only pool however it could use some umbrellas over the lounges as there was no sun protection. The pool menu very limited with just crisps and limited drinks. Overall a great stay and would come back again.

Beach access without a road, adult only pool. Room service was great, and apartment was really spacious.

Fantastic room setup for what we needed (3 adults, 1 teenager, preschooler and an infant) and the baby items they provide make for a very comfortable stay. Keeping on top of some of the room maintenance, including the condition of the games room and going back when the gym is reopen would improve the experience

The staff were amazing and our stay was great! Especially the couples massage. Loved the Nespresso coffee machine...The only thing was the layout of the apt. No toilet in the main living areas. Too many stairs!!! Wonderful to step straight out to the beach!

This is a gorgeous property located right on the beach. Has a very relaxed laid-back vibe with friendly, helpful staff.

Another wonderful stay at Alamanda (3rd time here). Their beachfront apartments have the best and uninterrupted view of the beach. A truly magical place! Extra thanks to Daniel and Jess, who went out of their way to make our holiday even more perfect. Look forward to our next visit.

Was amazing except gym was tucked away underground- limited weights and no water available otherwise everything else was perfect- beautiful rooms and comfortable beds.

Awesome location right on the beach, nice pools and adults area, kids pool is heated but that one is always busy they might considered to heat up the others. Room is spacious my only complaint is the restaurant, awful service, high prices and limited menu. Breakfast average price is $30 plus toast around $9 so you can draw your conclusions, odd opening times and days but the worse are the rude waiters and manager, not aligned with the rest of the service of the hotel

ROOMS INFESTED WITH ANTS (multiple rooms according to other guests) AND ALSO SOOOOO RUDE WHEN WE TRIED TO HAVE THEM ADDRESS IT/GIVE US A DISCOUNT!! BEWARE!! We were on vacation from the US, for our honeymoon. They did a nice a job of being understanding about our delayed flight from Brisbane, had the room nicely arranged with music & champagne and overall was lovely check-in. The location and other accommodations were nice and MAY have been worth the cost, but the ANT INFESTATION in our room, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE TWO DIFFERENT RUDE FRONT DESK CLERKS MADE IT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We had a plate of frosting from a piece of cake that I left on the coffee table IN THE LIVING ROOM for maybe an hour while watching TV that got COMPLETELY COVERED IN ANTS, TO THE POINT I ALMOST BROKE IT WHEN I PICKED IT UP W/O REALIZING IT WAS COVERED IN ANTS. The first front desk person just brushed us off ("oh sure, ill let housekeeping know"/"it's your fault for not telling house keeping about it in the middle of the night-at 11pm) and the other front desk/"hospitality manager" wanted us to "pick something from the gift shop (probably $5-$10 for a room we paid TWO-HUNDRED A NIGHT for). That was only after we made it VERY clear how unhappy we were at the end of our stay!! BEWARE MULTIPLE ROOMS INFESTED W ANTS AND THE STAFF IS AWARE AND DOES NOT CARE/not willing to address it/properly take care of it! OUR KITCHEN, ONE OF THE BATHROOMS AND LIVING ROOM WAS COVERED!! SO BEWARE!! Not only the kitch

The complex of apartments is older than some, but in a perfect location; at one end of the main beachside ‘strip’, it actually has a beach front and is adjacent to a creek & foreshore reserve. Grounds, pools and buildings are attractive and well maintained (one wing being repainted during our short stay). Apartments are spacious, very comfortable and well appointed. Some bathroom fittings could use an update and WiFi access was not available in some areas of our apartment - all minor matters. Staff were helpful & professional; the restaurant NuNu excellent. If stairs are an issue this facility has no lift. No problem for us, we intend to return and are very happy to recommend.
