Our stay was once again amazing
With many thanks once again to Frank and his team, at the Best Western Claydon. It is a hotel where staff go that extra mile and are always very friendly.

We had a marvellous stay, and the staff were very friendly. A note that Ella shold geta special mention, for her kindness and friendly ness.
We would certainly go back. Breakfast was also brilliant.

Room very clean unfortunately it was at the front of the hotel looking out to the main road. It was very creaky and could hear other guests using the stairs.

One night stay for a business trip and arrived quite late so restaurant and bar were already closed. Early start so did not stop for breakfast so not able to comment on the food.
Room was ok, comfortable and had the usual facilities. Very helpful young lady on reception who lent me a phone charger as I had left mine behind.

Arrived late so needed a decent sleep after a long drive . Room 203 faces the main busy road so from 4am its impossible to sleep due to traffic noise . Poor double glazing and made worse by a window that didnt close properly. No hairdryer and room overpriced in my opion . Decent breakfast

A one night stopover which was very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice including full English.

The hotel was easily accessible, clean and friendly. We received a warm welcome and our needs were met as we needed a ground floor room. Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable, but the manager was very obliging and swapped our room, unfortunately the second room was just as uncomfortable. The only problem with this hotel is that they need to invest in some new mattresses. Everything else is wonderful.

Our room smelt like scampi and chips most of the night, must of been near the kitchen not sure
The floorboards above us were creaking all night with people walking around upstairs so difficult to sleep.
The cooked breakfast in the morning was disappointing as very basic and no option for what type of egg you could have as the only available option was scrambled

Absolutely disappointed. I’ve paid for a Deluxe room and they gave me regular room. Everything in the room damaged, Tv remote covered in dirt.

This hotel is very overpriced, room/bathroom, bed all appalling. Parking was £10 additional to the overpriced room to park in a muddy area at the back of this place. The bathroom was above the kitchen with a very loud extractor fan and seemingly extracted all of the cooking waste into the shower above, choking fumes. The bed was very uncomfortable. The traffic noise from outside was loud. The noise from othet residents and slamming doors was excessive at all hours of the night.
I'd not recommend this hotel.

I use Best Western quite a bit whilst working, but this was a bit of a let down.The biggest shock was the £10 parking charge, hidden away in the terms and conditions that no one every checks. I didn't pay it, I parked elsewhere. No restaurant service on a Sunday! In general not brilliant. Room was cold, especially the bathroom with a totally antiquated electric heater on the wall! Room hadn't been heated prior to my arrival so was really cold.

Room cold, bath panel not fixed which I relocated, heat pump/AC unit didnt work and fixed at 18 degs, £10 additional parking charge if not booked direct with the hotel. Think because it was booked through a 3rd party provider was relegated to a lower standard room at the back of the hotel.

The hotel is an AA 3 star hotel, and it provided that level of service in the best way that it could. Although nothing was fancy, everything was perfectly clean and working. The room was not particularly large and the bathroom was quite basic, but it was all big enough and very clean.
The hotel was very quiet; we did not hear the other guests. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.

Nice accommodation, only complaint was the window faced onto the main road and it needed to be triple glazed as it was noisy.

This hotel must have been built by Wimpeys, the rooms are small our suite being smaller than a standard premier Inn room. The Walls are plasterboard and you can hear people walking down the corridor outside. There is no soundproofing so you can hear the TV in other rooms and people talking. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and creaked all night long with every slight movement. On the good side the room and bathroom was clean and functional but the door hinges needed oiling as they squeaked. The on site parking was useful. The staff were helpful and friendly. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel at £40 each as that was excessively expensive. The whole place need renovating and upgrading.
