Parking is extremely difficult obtain after 6pm

This is our 7th stay at Westgate Lakes. It is our home away from home.

It is a huge property and has great amenities. Very family friendly resort.

Everything was good until we did “the tour” once we told them no, we got told we can’t leave until they say we can, which is against my rights, locked out of our hotel room after we left the very forcing salesman, then when we when we were told to ask for a complimentary late check out from the welcome desk, and when we asked security to open our door so we can get our belongings, the philipino woman at the security stand told us that our room doesn’t exist we are “giving her too many numbers” and blamed it on the language barrier, i offered to write it down for her and she just told me to call someone else and shut the door, and continued onto the next car, I have never been to such a beautiful environment but at the same time, such a hostile, rude, disrespectful, there’s not enough negative ways to describe it, service. I genuinely regret choosing Westgate.

Very well located and personal is very care about customers. I will definitely come back.

I liked everything

The resort isnt BAD by i suppose, and it was in a great location..but I certainly wouldnt pick this over Orange Lake or Summer Bay. In pictures, it looks MUCH better than it actually is. Again, not saying its bad, just not great. There were a few staff members that gave you that "wow" experience..but overall, most were pretty much just shells of a human that didnt even attempt to help in any way. The walls are VERY thin - and you can hear damn near everything your neighbors say and do. Especially at night..(and especially when they put a large family in 2 rooms.. one to the left of you and one to the right of you..) I didnt want to get the neiighbors in trouble on their vacation, so held off calling security for a nosie complaint until around 2 am. to which the officer knocked for 5 minutes really loud.. as they all acted like they were sleeping. As soon as he left, their music went back on and kids started roughhousing again. My kids need to sleep or I will have two little **** starters all day. so we ended up calling security again a little after three, to which they said "We already sent someone up - it should be calm now."..as I assured them it was not - they assured me it was. No other officer ever came up.. but the music and commotion finally died down around 415 am...after 3 hours of sleep their kids were back at it..and upon waking up, all I could smell were their cigs, walking outside I was harrassed by 3 active cig smokers, and 2 kids running around saying narc!

size of the room was great - a lot of space. only negative was we tried to take my daughter to the water park 3 times and all 3 times it was closed due to lightning strikes. they dont give refunds and or rainchecks. if i knew it wasnt included in the resort i would not have chose this place.

I love the WESTGATE this is my fifth time traveling from jersey to Florida WESTGATE and I must say there is plenty of things on the resort. Walmart is 5 mins away to go shopping the waterpark snd SeaWorld is 5 mins away Disney is five it’s unreal it’s amazing I love this place. Staff was amazing I ordered towels and extra sheets I got them maybe 30 minutes after but that wasn’t even a problem, because honestly you have a washer and dryer in your room. For all the times I have been here I have been pleased and I invite more and more family every time.

Pros: Staff is friendly. Clean. Easy checkout (don't have to visit the office or turn in key cards - just leave by time). Restaurant on site, arcade, mini convenience store. Some complimentary activities included with stay (mini golf, bicycle rental, etc). Plenty of towels, pillows, blankets. Microwave, fridge, coffee in room. Cons: Pay extra $25 per person for water park. No free breakfast. Everything is very expensive (food, games, personal items). Starbucks on site but they don't take the rewards or gift cards. We were there Thursday night through Saturday morning and did not receive any kind of housekeeping services so we had trash buildup in the room. The jet function in the tub didnt work. Could also use updating.

The property is awesome and the staff is amazing.

Was good very convenient if you're going to Disney World is just 15 minutes away!!

Over all I was not that happy with my stay. It was unclear on Expedia’s page that I would have to pay for the water park for my family of 4 and the hotel was not remotely sympathetic to that. They wanted me to take a timeshare tour to get in the water park for free until the found out and live in Orlando then their desire to help became 0. I waited almost two hours for two blankets and when the arrived there was only one. Same thing happened when I wanted more pillows. The staff that was not involved with my water park problem were nice. My room was ok. Ceiling fans missing chains so I could adjust fan speed ect ect ect. 3 out of 5 stars from me

They make it appear that there is access to all the manatees on the property when that is not as completely true as you are charging additional $15 more per person to attend to waterpark

This was our first time staying here. I was nervous because of all the bad reviews but we had an amazing stay!!! The resort is beautiful. With lots of options to keep you busy!! We loved how close it was to SeaWorld and Aquatica. We had a wonderful vacation.

The air conditioning in the room was horrible. Would not cool such a small room. Despite being on for 6 days and set to 65ish, the temp stayed at 75. Not great when it’s so hot out and you look to return to your room to cool down and sleep well.

The water park is not included only for owners as well as the breakfast. The little transportation yo have to pay too.

Great location, a lot of nearby activities in driving distance

The staff was amazing!!! Shout out to Chazz and Mona for a wonderful check-in experience. My family and I will definitely be back soon.

My experience here was horrible. Upon check in we were give keys to someone else room. Couldn’t activate the keys and had to get security. Because the rooms was occupied by someone else I had to go back to customer service to get another room. The room was clean but the rug smells very bad. There were roaches and other bugs in the room. The sofa bed had garbage on it when we pulled it out. Staff were excellent in providing what ever needed but overall this is my out place to go back. When you have a child with sensory issues and a situation like this with back and forth upon checking and the smells of the room was a tigger. For me and my family our future return to Florida will be somewhere else.

Nice room

The pictures of the water slides is NOT included in the resort fees. There is another $25 per person fee on top of the already expensive fee. Check in process sucked. We had to park away from the front desk in a parking garage then hike the family around the resort to find the front desk. Then waited in line for 20 mins while everyone checks in. They didn’t give me a parking pass the first time so I had to make 2 of these trips to the front desk. Noisy people all around us all night. Kids running up and down the hall. People outside the sliding glass doors.

Too many people there on the $99 for the week stays that are not transferring to becoming owners. Very ghetto and tasteless guests that were loud, vulgar, smoking blunts, and monopolized the pools and parking. Totally transformed my opinion of Westgate. Will not be staying there again

Great place to stay with family! Rooms are clean and the resort offers many things to do and only 10 minutes from Universal!

I usually love staying at Westgate, but this trip was terrible from the moment we checked in. I walked into and occupied room with ppl having sexual intercourse with my 5 yr old son, they were not apologetic or accommodating at all. The refrigerator in my room leaked and the toilet had to plunged every time it was flushed. Lastly, the family next door checked in with their dogs and let them roam off the leash, which terrified my son to the point I had to end the stay because he would not go back in, and again the property was not accommodating at all. We have been coming to this property for the last 4 yrs and we will NOT be returning.

This place was packed loud and busy everywhere. It took forever to get service anywhere. Although the service was all great it took a long time waiiting to get a order in anywhere on the property. Also had guest yell at us about having drinks by the pool that we purchased by the pool!
