Very nice. Just 5 minutes walk from the Whlte House

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Hotel was so quiet. We could fully unwind at the end of long sightseeing days.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The room was comfortable although some chairs were worn. Amenities were up to Sofitel standards. Staffs were courteous. As an expedia gold member, we were eligible for a room upgrade and complimentary items (bottle of wine, etc.). The hotel did not offer any. Maybe a notification should have been sent from expedia.

Parking is quite expensive and you can only do valet. I believe there was a note about soundproof rooms. The rooms are not soundproof. Housekeeping was very dependable and thorough. Its an older property so the rooms are definitely a little dated.

It’s perfectly located very beautiful rooms but guys please update your TVs and always check to make sure the batteries in the remotes are always working

Good location to visit the White House

I booked a king suite and was given a queen room. Was told by the front desk that the hotel has no queen bedrooms. Housekeeping said yes our room was a queen. Had a miserable night thinking I was cheated out of our king room. Insisted on discount for the subpar room the next day. Will never go back

The location is quite convenient, but the hotel is getting old.

From the moment I walked through the doors, the staff and hospitality at Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette were top-tier. I especially marveled at the exquisite room and very comfortable bed. Additionally, the free bottle of wine was an added bonus. I'll certainly be returning next month! 🤗

My wife and I found the staff to be professional and attentive. We ate breakfast twice in the Opaline Brasserie we reste the good and service as excellent. It was an enjoyable experience which we recomend.

Property was nice and clean. Staff was very nice and quick to respond to any requests. They offer free water which was a big plus since it was really hot when we visited. Although it was a very nice stay I don't think it was on the same level as other 5 star hotels that I've stayed at. It just doesn't have all the amenities you would expect.

Location perfect for touring DC hotspots; hotel air didn’t work well - too uncomfortable to sleep well. Outside dining area seating old and unclean. Valet parking too expensive per night - staff very nice and helpful. Would stay here again.

Our check-in was for 3pm. After a very long drive from New Jersey we arrived at our hotel around 11am. We asked if we could check in early. We were told we could not and to come back at check-in time (3pm) We toured DC until 3pm. Upon our arrival, we were told that the room was not ready but would be so in about 15minutes. We kept checking with the front desk. They kept telling us our room was being inspected. Our room wasn't ready until after 4pm. An hour of our time in the room was taken with no compensation. Additionally we discovered later that evening that our room didn't have the pillows for the sofa bed that we asked to have made up. It took 1/2 hour for those to finally arrive after a very long day. We also realized we only had 3 towels in the room when there were 4 of us staying (we had this in our checkin details) Finally, our room was suppose to come with a bottle of wine. It was not there. We again had to ask the front desk for the wine. It arrive an hour later with no wine glasses! Uggh. Someone had to come back again with them. I feel like for the price of the property we were not treated properly. I felt like a complainer instead of enjoying a stay. It was a hassle!

The hotel is nice, but older. Our room faced a brick wall, so that was disappointing. The staff was helpful and friendly. My daughter got really sick due to the heat and they were so helpful helping me clean after she threw up.

Metro 2 minute walk - very handy for city centre. Hotel was great - room lovely and clean. Food - had breakfast every day (would recommend!) had dinner one evening also good. Went with my teenage daughter who thought the hotel was great with good amenities.

The hotel was nice, clean & staff was excellent. Location was easily walkable to restaurants and attractions. Would gladly stay here again in the future.

AC in room not working properly and a bit tired hotel, not worth upgrading

Excellent location for a DC trip. Received a room upgrade but was charged for it despite reserving three rooms for $1000 plus dollars. Thought it should have been partially comped.

Great location, clean and front desk staff were always available and friendly with suggestions of where to eat
