I love Villa Sassa! We extended our stay and we would stay here again. Love their Pilates schedule. Their breakfast is beyond…servers are amazing!! Pilates instructors and Zumba coaches are incredibly amazing. We love Ele, Sandra, Laura and everyone there!!!

I had a very good and peaceful stay experience in Lugano with a lake-view balcony suite. The huge room with a spectacular view was nicely set up, and the gymnasium facilities were perfect. However, the kitchen was not for cooking; only the kettle worked. In addition, the staff was kind and helpful.

A lovely stop over stay, had an amazing top floor room with beautiful views and plenty of space for my family, ropes and slippers in the right sizes for my children which was a nice touch! Great breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff

Great property with a terrific view. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Large balcony. Beautiful bathroom. Train station was a short walk, but shuttle is provided. Abundant and fresh breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely pool and grounds. Highly recommended.

Overall, we liked our accommodation. Our apartment was spacious with air conditioning and a balcony. The views of lake and mountains were magnificent. We enjoyed spa facilities and swimming pools.

the hotel is old, the curtains not very blackout. for the price of the “suite” with only one room it 's a little abused. not enough photos detailing the rooms. The air-conditioning leaves something to be desired: there's none in the bedroom. the price of crockery per day is also excessive. But the staff are very friendly and attentive.

The good:
- very quiet
- great breakfast
- very large suite
- very nice onsite restaurant
- great view from room, pool and restaurant
Not so good:
- bed was uncomfortable (hard)
- pool hours were not clear
- rooms/decor were a bit dated, but not a big deal overall

We didn’t stay in this property very long And we’re disappointed that we couldn’t get in for massages. That was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel but the spa services weren’t available. The room was nice. The view was beautiful. The food was good. OK

It was a nice hotell with a helpful staff. The location is good, just 15 minutes walking to the lake and the city's buzz. We lived in a suite premium with a partly lake view. No point to pay for a full lake view as it's far away. Currently the view is spoiled by the building works and a big crane next to the hotell.
The breakfast was boring, all the same and not so much to choose from. You need to ask the restaurant staff to make you something you like, and they are helpful. Ask for coffee from the kitchen, it's better than from the coffee machine in the dining hall.
The water in the pool was cold as well. The indoors pool is warmer.

Need a car to get down to the historic center of Lugano. It’s walking distance but all downhill which means all uphill when you’re tired.

Very nice property with beautiful view of Lake Lugano. Staff was very helpful and went the extra mile when a request was made and were proactive in other ways. They left me a bottle of wine cuz they knew it was my birthday weekend. A bit further from the town (10-15 min walk) than I personally would have liked but because we were higher up we had an amazing view.

Lovely original building and grounds.
In room. Aircon had leaked, Blind in bedroom did not operate so no access to the balcony, could not connect to the wifi and neither could the hotel expert, plus smallest tv I've seen, last time in 3 star hotel.
Tired facilities in the bathroom. No outlet cover in shower, shower base missing non-slip strip. No hand soap.
Bit of a maze to the room, lack of signage.
O/W nice hotel with views over Lugano - due to above overpriced.

I loved the views and that we had access to amazing grocery store (similar to Whole Foods) with a 15 minute walk (it’s moderate intensity to walk as some of it is uphill.) loved the huge rooms , even with the kitchen and all the amenities of an apartment and of course the balcony!

Superb hotel with great facilities set in the hills of Lugano. Room was big with a balcony overlooking the hillsides around Lake Lugano. Very beautiful!

This was a lovely retreat offering many relaxing spa options on rainy days when there was not much else to go do.

Property was under complete construction. Couldn’t use 2 of our 3 balconies as they had tarps and ladders on them. Weren’t informed that whole place was under construction until two days before trip.

Excellent fitness centre and buffet breakfast. Major renovations were taking place which were not advertised on Expedia, therefore, no outdoor pool or solarium access. The room was uncomfortably hot at night and the portable air conditioning unit dated and ineffective. Fans didn’t help which meant for sleepless nights - in May.

I was disappointed that they were under renovations and was not told ahead of time. I got an email about it the day after I arrived. The view was blocked by a crane.

Typical Swiss hotel; clean friendly and efficient. Parking charges unexpectedly high, normally you pay nothing, but a special shout out for the sommelier in the restaurant who went out of his way to make the dinner memorable. Would happily stay there again. K

It is all a little bit old but still very nice.
Nice wellness with swimmingpool and big jacuzzi .
A lot off sport facillity,s great fittness room with group sports also in the swimmingpool.
Restaurant is very nice with good service and fine dinning.
Bistro is also very good with good food and drinks.
In 10 minutes walking you are at the trainstation.en with the small train in 5 minutes in the centro lugano.with shopping and a lot of restaurants and cafe,s and bars.
From the terras and infinity pool there is a great view around.

View is no CE, but hotel is under construction with a huge crane. Nobody on the staff, told us about access to wellness centre, so it was not used, this was not good as it rained both days we were there. It got boring as we though only had an outdoor pool.

Our stay was wonderful! Kind and nice staff and the location was perfect to visit the center.
