The hotel was fine, desk staff was nice and helpful. However it isn’t worth the $500 a night. The breakfast was a joke (bread, butter, a few sad pre-packaged muffins, apples and juice- zero protein). The noise from the freight trains in the middle of the night was earth shattering. Sorry, but this should be a $200 a night place.

Amazing place to stay

Staff are not receptive. They have forgotten that they are in the people business. The facility is run like an air bnb. A code is sent to you. You enter your small unit. Staff are inconvenienced if you approach them. They do not want to communicate with you. I went in July. The cheap air conditioning was on. Don't worry, each unit has ear plugs provided. Since you will be sleeping next to this unit, you might get the sniffles, small tissue box is provided on top of toilet tank. Basic breakfast of tea, toast and fruit is provided. On July 15 we were leaving at 8:15 am. We decided to make toast. The sitting area was closed off for a private event. Who, other than management has a Monday morning meeting when check out is before 11 am and all your customers are vacating. You will notice this kind of behaviour throughout the facility.staff are moody and unhelpful. The units are basic and sparsely furnished. Bedside lamps do not have shades. One charging plug at base of lamp. It was used so heavily that mine was broken. Ok for short stay and remember you have a choice. Choose wisely.

Basecamp Lodge is the place and we were glad we choose it as a Basecamp to explore Banff and surrounding areas. I’d choose Canmore over Banff.. free breakfast chill out lounge, tv cables, near shopping and restaurants.

Very clean, loved the Rocky Mountain Soap Company products. Cute decor. Easy to access the room, park, etc. Ice cold AC. Everything we wanted was walkable.

Parking is a disaster. There isn't enough parking for all guests in the hotel. If you're out past 6:00pm, be prepared to not have parking at the hotel. Not returning, especially considering there are many other options in the same price point.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with an assortment of Rocky Mountain soap products which was awesome.

Stay was very comfortable. We checked in very late which was handled very well. The breakfast options are very limited. We basically had coffee and a slice of bread with spread. Nothing fancy. The property does have an issue with their parking space. The front desk lady asked me to park my car in the back of the building but never told me that it was going to be a Tight squeeze. I almost scratched side of my car trying to turn the corner to the left. There was a car parked right in the turning angle at right side with building wall to my left. I had to struggle 10 mins with sweaty palms to not to damage rental car. When I told this to the front desk lady that I almost damaged my car she seemed less interested in my problem. She nonchalantly said yes that is a known issue and went back to staring at her screen. This would have ruined my holiday if I somehow didn’t find my way of the sticky situation without damaging rental car.

The hotel also has a small kitchen area on the second level where you can get a free basic breakfast (toast, muffin, juice, fruits) as well as coffee and tea. The staff was very accomodating given the fires in Jasper and allowed me to extend my stay.

Overnight stay for family of four visiting Banff National Park. The room was much larger than I expected. Very comfortable and one of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Also in a safe and convenient location.

Really cute lodge. Everything was super clean. Parking is free of charge and there is even a small complimentary breakfast!

Parking was a little challenging otherwise very good

Because of the fires we had to cancel our trip, Basecamp wouldn’t refund our $! Nor change date to later time! We are extremely unhappy!!! That was just wrong!

Great place to stay in Canmore! Room was great with cold A/C. Staff was helpful. The only thing that was mildly troublesome was the parking- we had an extra large rental car and, when there were cars parked in the back, it was impossible to get through. There are a few large car spots in front of the hotel but they seemed to fill up quickly.

Rooms never cleaned

This place is super clean and even offers a modest Continental breakfast. We were very happy with this choice and would certainly stay there again.
