The Hotel needs to be honest when booking if they are hosting permanent residents on behalf of the council, one of whom was being spoken to by the police when I booked in. I was moved to another room. Not a good first impression. the room itself was cold as the heating was turned off.The staff were helpful., but overall i'm afraid I won't be staying again.

Twin room with ensuite up 2 flights of narrow steep unlit stairs. Could not fully open the door due lack of space. Full English breakfast not quite full and rushed. Not allowed to sit in dining area ( the only common area) to do planning and paperwork. Wi-Fi questionable. No space in room so sat on the stairs to do planning and paperwork. Overall, very disappointing and the best part was handing the key back on departing.

The hosts were very welcoming. Room was nice albeit on second floor Relatively close to city centre so could walk or get bus. Plenty of shops and a 0leasant street

Used Bow Guest House as a base for two nights while working near Reading. Host was friendly, Room was suitable and the wifi was invaluable!

Free parking is good. Weekend breakfast consisted of two slices of toast, one cup of coffee, cereal, orange juice and water. Eight am to nine am. On a Sunday morning!!!! Shower and toilet shared. Host was friendly enough.

Mr. Raza is a pleasing host, it was a short stay, the property is nothing fancy, quite basic, no frills, most importantly close to town centre.

I booked the hotel in need of a place to sleep after travel. The room was a bit bare, as expected from the price, but a comfortable bed and a quiet atmosphere. The friendliness and overall welcoming feeling of the attendant was what made this stay a very pleasant surprise and made me wish I had a bit more time other than just sleep.

I was taken up to room and room had not been cleaned bed made from previous guest etc the landlord apologetic and put it right room very basic shared bathroom but bed was comfortable. The landlord really friendly prepared to put himself out for guests enjoyed breakfast which is full English with toast cereals juice etc available excellent pub at end of street called the nags head doing various real ales met my needs as travel with work needing 1 night at a time but would not stay if with my wife or wanting a few nights in reading car parking and wifi available

This hotel is well located and a short walk from the town centre and restaurants and bars. The hotel is not the most up to date but I slept well and the host was very welcoming.

Good guest house with parking close to city centre

This so called B&B is a 3 star rating although not too sure how as the facilities are shocking the bedroom wasn’t an issue and bed was clean and comfortable however the bathroom was quite possibly the smallest bathroom I’ve ever experienced in my life and resembled a cupboard which I suspect it was in a past life. But that wasn’t the low point this comes later, as for the shower this was impossible to use as it was impossible to get in. But to cap it all when I asked what time we need to be down for breakfast on being told the times I was also informed that the room tariff didn’t include a breakfast that would be extra and served in the building next door the other side of the car park entrance. So is really room only and should be advertised as such so as not to anger patrons, lastly I’ve never been asked to pay for a room upfront on check in rather than check out where you can discuss any underlying issues or concerns I would never recommend this place to anyone ever

We received a friendly welcome. Rooms clean and simple. Able to open the windows, which I like. PLenty of parking space. PLease can we have some coat hangers in the ward robe? Also shower not in great condition. Otherwise lovely stay.

We wanted a hotel 30 mins from Windsor and this location was ideal.

Needed to stay over-night in Reading, preferably close to the town centre and this Guest House fitted the bill. I had a room down in the cellar/basement and while not the best decorated room; ever, it was dry, warm and clean. Bathroom badly needed an over-haul but shower worked well and there was enough light to safely shave!Breakfast was a bit brief, 0700-0830 and was nice enough but could have done with larger portions on the fried breakfast. Parking behind guest house is handy as its a residents only parking on street and seemed safe enough. Owner/manager very pleasant and helpful. Its a 10 minute walk to the town centre and over all its not a bad place,even if its in need of some TLC (from what I saw) and if wanting to stay overnight in Reading in the future, I would certainly use this guest house again.
