Room was nice. Hotel was being renovated which was not so nice. Some guy parked right below our room had his car alarm go off at 10:30pm right when we ready to fall asleep which caused us to be awake much longer, then at 6am his car alarm went off again which woke us up from a deep sleep. Not really the hotels fault but the staff did not do anything about it either.

Just what the doctor ordered.

Well we got in after a long day and the TV did not work. He was very old along with the decor. We paid way too much for this room. The carpet was stained and the curtains had holes that allow light in.

It was okay…. But we bought this hotel specifically for the hot tub. It was under construction as was most of the hotel. That wasn’t as bad as the hotel staff trying to blame me for it by asking me if I had bothered to call the hotel to make sure the hot tub was working. Also they didn’t do anything to make it right or make our stay better. We have to rebook at another hotel for the practice we were planning that included a hotel.

We stayed in Barstow on our way to the Grand Canyon just to break up our trip with my elderly parents. My only complaint is that there are never enough ada rooms. My mom is disabled and its always hard to find rooms that accommodate her needs. Nice hotel otherwise and great breakfast

Excellent place to stay

In our bathroom there were noticeable grout holes between the tile and tub, and a dead grasshopper in the ceiling light cover. Everything else was satisfactory.

The place was amazing, breakfast was delicious and the price was really good 👍

They made it easy to turn a one-night stay into two nights. Believe it or not, but it isn’t always easy!

Had material stolen from the back of my truck. Had to park far away from the front entrance because parking was full. Then saw why the staff was all parking there.

Hotel is doing a renovation, room is a bit dated, breakfast usual hotel stuff… I prefer to eat elsewhere, good rate for a tub room, good place to crash after a long day of driving

Very good experience

Under complete renovation, looks like the building is just being built, I thought we had been duped on a reservation. You have to walk under scaffolding, on plastic in the hall, elevator has Styrofoam board all over the walls and floor, front desk was rather rude (not completely horrible) but very rude, and the pool area was a disaster! The kid pool was disgusting, garbage floating and at the bottom, big pool was freezing, and the pool deck is a major hazard. There are big pieces of metal poking up from the ground, drainage passages are pulled up from the ground causing you to trip. And then, to to it off, the TV is not working. The TV itself turns on, but there are two dish network boxes and an activation card on the table. You turn in the TV and it says it is not activated (the activation card does not work). We called the front desk and they were willing to give us a room on the other end of the hotel. We did not uproot out baby and move all our stuff to another party of the hotel. We considered the Holiday Inn because it was newer, but though we would reserve the Hampton because we know they are nice, NOT this Hampton. Stay away, especially if you have children, it is a major safety concern with kids and it is filthy. And you are paying actual Hampton price, meanwhile you are getting a Best Value Inn.

This is a great overnight stay and the breakfast offered was very good!

Other than the a/c not cooling, it was great. We were moved to another room where the a/c worked. We would recommend this motel.

Property was in good shape considering under construction. Pool was not clean, spa was down. No meat for breakfast. Overall, However, we like Hampden Inn’s…..very quiet.

Unfortunately the place gets a renovation at the moment and looks terrible from the outside and is a working place inside. Other than that all good!

Property under renovations

This hotel is very out dated, our room was not ready after check in time so they up graded us but when we saw the room it was dark & old, the shower around the bottom was thick with mould, it just didn’t feel clean. Makes me wonder what our original room would have been like. After telling the staff about the shower and showing photos they just said they would add points onto our Expedia acc! Which we hardly use only on this trip. When we arrived there was scaffolding all around the building and works going on, this was not mentioned to us when we booked it. The lifts were padded out for the work men & tools, it just wasn’t a nice feel when your on holiday.

Room was very nice. Breakfast was very nice. Only complaint is we got there at 4:45. I don't know if they were short on staff, but did not get into room until 6:30. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Checked in was supposedly at 3 pm but room wasn’t ready till 4 pm. Rooms are not the greatest feels like we are in motel 6. Carpet was dirty, shower pressure was bad and room was very small. You can hear the kids and conversation on the other room.

Great staff, hotel was very clean and the breakfast is very good. The only downside was the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable, I would book a second room if you need 3 beds. The hotel is currently being renovated but did not impact our stay.

It was just a night to rest and continue my 2nd half of my 12 hours drive from KAYENTA az to San Francisco

Location was under construction. Walls are thin and flooring was squeeking when walking.

Hotel was under construction. The carpet in the hallway was...well...not good for ones health. I was surprised it was the most expensive hotel in the area. The staff was great. The room itself was in great shape, very clean, new. I would have enjoyed it more for a slightly lower price.

I was not aware the building was being remodeled at the time of my stay. Most everything inside was new and very clean. The exterior was fully under construction. Very little parking due to storage of building materials. Breakfast was excellent.

Did not know the building would be under construction. My business hours are not the traditional 9-5, so my experience was tainted by the construction noise Other than that, room was okay, but soon to be remodeled, so understandable.

Hampton Inn always has a wonderful hot breakfast.

Oasis in barstow

Room was ok, but bed were very soft, there was only tepid water in the evening and it was in the middle of a renovation, with scaffolding and ram board on the floor in common areas.

We rolled in after a very long day of traveling. I was welcomed by Kimberly. Check in was easy. The hotel in undergoing a renovation, but don't let that discourage you, even with the construction the facilities are clean. We went to our room and it was a cool 84 degrees. Ouch.I asked Kimberly about it and she came up to see if she could fix it. She ultimately decided to have us go to a different room. She said "I went to the other room, the a/c is running, it's nice and cool and ready for you". She was so kind and so professional. We were so grateful to rest our tired heads in a cool room. Thank you, Kimberly for all of your help and kindness.
