Was good beside no fans or air-conditioning not even in the room . Also was no television anywhere. The jacuzzi look ewww and itb wasn't even hot little above room temperature. But the staff was friendly and helpful the location was awsome

We had a fantastic couple of nights at the Xandari. The staff were lovely and the hotel and the trails are the perfect introduction to Costa Rica

Spectacular views surrounded by flowers and hummingbirds. I felt like I was truly in a paradise. The restaurant was incredible and we never had a meal we didn’t like.

This was a dream of an experience! The best staff, great meals, wonderful views at every turn, and it’s safe.

This property was very quiet and secluded. Its not close to stores or shopping but that's part of what makes the property so peaceful. Dining options were good and breakfast is free!

Beautiful property & area. The staff & people working there are wonderful & nice. You get exactly what you come there for. Quietness & peace. No entertainment or interaction with others. Also, nothing near to walk to.. U should take an Uber to other areas & restuarants. But overall a lovely & peaceful resort. Thank You Xandari!

Beautiful and quiet resort to escape a world of technology. Amazing views over the city. Wifi not so effective throughout the property but that was more time to unplug. There's only one restaurant with the same menu for Lunch and Dinner and adds up fast, so have Uber eats ready. Also bring your own snacks. Take the time and Bamboo stick to the Waterfalls and Jungle. End your last day with the Jacuzzi Massage combo. They ALL were great.

This Place delivered more than what the pictures showed. We Flew in pretty late. Staff was waiting for us to arrive. Room was spacious. Balcony had good view of the city. Comfy Bed. Breakfast was good. Also had Dinner which was delicious. The place felt private and not crowded. Staff was very friendly. A trail to walk led to several pretty waterfalls. The pool was clean and had a good view of the city. Would definitely recommend.

The staff, from front desk to restaurant, is truly truly wonderful. Every single person is kind, thoughtful, smart, fun, and focused on beautiful service. And the property sits on land that is unbelievable. You can take a jungle hike 10 minutes from your room. Lovely, simple, delicious food. I love this place. It’s not flashy, but it’s one of a kind.

The property of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. I loved the colors and artwork inside the room we stayed in (King Ultra Villa). The lush landscaping all throughout the property, including multiple waterfalls made it a destination all on its own.

Wonder Place!!!

This property was very nice and tranquil. It really feels like you’re in nature. I recommend the villa as the views are beautiful. There were nice trails on the resort and the staff was very nice and helpful. All the food was fresh and grown right on the property.

The property and the grounds are beautiful! The restaurant is amazing! Kudos to the chefs! Every meal was great! Kendall and Oscar were our servers each day we were there and they were the nicest and most attentive people! Truly kind and welcoming and exceeded all expectations of a server. Note, Oscar makes the best White Russian! The pools and hot tubs are very well maintained. Hiking around their grounds, do beware! It is a lot of up and down, deep steps, and a lot more vigorous than we expected! Hiking boots are a must! No sandals or flip flops. I also suggest you let the front staff know you’re going (and when you get back) as once you are out there, you are screwed if something happens. When it’s rained, it is muddy, slippery, and can be dangerous. We are not the most physically fit people being in our late 50s but, we did it and at times it was rough. Note there are also no ATM machines at the hotel or nearby! If you don’t already have cash, there is no way to tip this well deserving staff! Plan some tours as it will get boring as there is not much to do here. The hotel will help you with that as well. We loved it there and hope to return someday.

Overall, we had a great stay. Room was very spacious and beds very comfortable. I do wish they had a TV and microwave in room! Staff very humble and helpful at all times. Also, you had to order room service by 8:30 pm. In addition, you had to make a reservation for breakfast and dinner everyday. Restaurant food needs an upgrade but gallo pinto was the best traditional food for breakfast. Also food was quite expensive, much like the US. We did much better eating off the resort at traditional Costa Rican restaurants. Soda places were the best and very inexpensive. Like three orders with drinks for $30 US or less depending on what you ordered. Foods were well seasoned and very filling. When it comes to shopping be prepared, Costa Rica is very expensive. We booked a few tours and the driver Luis Madrigal made our stay! He is a great driver and very knowledgeable about Costa Rica! We do not speak Spanish but found it very easy to communicate with Luis through the Google Translate App. If you ever visit ask for Luis, you will not regret it. We had Don Fabio one day as our driver and he was great as well. Not much English but we did okay communicating with using translation app.

I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful Xandari Resort is. My friend and I stayed here for a week to celebrate her birthday. This is truly the best resort experience I have ever had. The service is of the highest quality- the staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. The property itself is stunning kind. Apart from the gorgeous views and hiking trails with 5 waterfalls, the room, pools, and common spaces are in themselves works of art!! There is so much detail, thought, and love put into making the place so special. The spa is also incredible- we used it on our last day after check out, as we had a late flight. The massage was top notch, as was the view from the spa! The food— AMAZING. All veggies are grown on site. Truly every meal was over the top delicious. The presentation was also excellent every time! The food is made with fresh ingredients and love, and it shows. We ate there everyday! The property is also very safe and secure - they check every car coming in and out and also have a reliable taxi service, as Uber often cancelled and left us hanging. If you love yourself and care for your loved ones, stay here. It’s truly a gem and easily the best resort/lodging experience I’ve had by far!!

The property is beautiful ! The staff are welcoming and very nice . They make you feel right at home . Xandari is where you find peace and serenity. The views from the villas, restaurants, pools anywhere you are on the property are breath taking . The spa brings tranquility with the most amazing view . The food is delicious. Breakfast is complimentary . The trails are a must that lead to a waterfall at 70 ft above. I planted a tree in memory of my late husband. This first trip to Costa Rica has been amazing and I will definitely be back again . Pura Vida !

I enjoyed my stay at Xandari. The property grounds are beautiful and the spa was amazing!!! The relaxing combo with the massage and jacuzzi is highly recommended. Regretfully, I was unable to take advantage of any of the expedia VIP perks due to the hotels availability. I didn’t really feel like a VIP but the overall experience was good!

The staff are very hospitable and always available. The location, surroundings and facilities are excellent. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, both of which were very good.

We had a wonderful stay. This is such a lovely hotel. Very special. We were 3 weeks in Costa Rica and this was our best hotel.

Stunning , lush grounds of vibrant plants , tiger, waterfalls, 3 pools, views that take your breath away! The staff feels like family and go out of their way to welcome and support you during your stay!

I really enjoyed staying here. The property is a tropical oasis with beautiful landscaping and friendly staff. The food was delicious and I love the farm to table concept!

A very nice resort. One explanation for future guests. Some previous visitors complained about airplane noise (it's close to the airport) and local dogs barking. Pretty much between 10:30pm and 6:30am, this is not a problem, only before and after. If you time it right, you can get a good 8 hours of sleep in.

The property was very nice; there is a lot to do on the resort itself theres 3 pools, small farms with plants and animals and some trails. Our lights went out halfway and then completely on the first night but the staff fixed it quickly. The property was very clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. We also booked a tour through the hotel to La Fortuna and Luis was our guide HE WAS AMAZING, very nice man kind and good hearted if you go on a tour request him you will not be disappointed i enjoyed my day with him as our guide and if i go back id request him!

There is no a/c but it was still comfortable. Our villa ran out of hot water fast but our friends villa didn’t. Hot tub tepid. Beautiful property, artsy, gardens, close to airport. Gorgeous views. Nice bedding.

Massage therapist need additional training in customer service and respecting client time during the session.
