Front desk workers were rude, noone greeted us when we approached the desk to check in. They acted as though we were invisible, except there were two workers neither of them busy.
Neighboring rooms were having a party all night. And I mean, ALL NIGHT shouting and laughing and slamming doors, loud music, etc. There's no way we were the only ones who heard this. But to my knowledge, no visits from hotel staff to quiet them down. I didn't call the front desk bc I had little faith anyone cared. And one person in my room was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her.

I always look at reviews first before I book and I seen it was 8.5/10. This was a great experience, and I will be coming back.

Check-in didn't go well. Most of the staff was unfriendly or disinterested. I was expecting a WAY better experience due to the reviews. The hot water in shower and faucet took forever to heat up. It's not a 4 star hotel.

We had a good stay. We selected this property due to its proximity to The Masonic Temple. It was an easy walk and staff was helpful in pointing us in the right direction.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and laid out well. Nice large towels were much better than the typical hotel towels. Makeup mirror in the bathroom was appreciated also. We didn't use the bathtub, only the shower, but it's a nice deep soaking tub.

the hotel was very clean overall...plenty of associates floating around...lots of security.I didnt visit the casino itself, but the rest of the hotel was great. Fridge in my room wasnt working properly, and the light switch in the bathroom was glitchy...other than that...was a great stay

Went down to the D for a Lion’s game with some buddies. It worked out great and the shuttle to Ford Field was easy and convenient. Free parking was a plus!

Hotel property and services and especially steakhouse 5 star. Only negative is location not walking friendly to anywhere. We stayed 2 nights to run the 1/2 Marathon. The hotel provided shuttle service in the morning to the race start. Fabulous. Shuttle was not easily found or available after the race.

I enjoyed the stay. I won almost 3000.00 and my husband won 1500.00. The rooms were cozy and clean. Most of the staff were helpful. Only encountered One person with major attitude. She must have been having some kind of issue that followed her to work

Love staying here. ALWAYS a great experience. This time was no exception. The icing on the cake was the SUPERIOR service by front desk clerk BRANDI… she defines the ideal staff member. Thank you again Motor City!!

All of the employees we encounter were great and super friendly and knowledgeable! The one amenity we had planned to use, and didn’t realize that motor city no longer had room service. We like to order breakfast and such and not get dressed and ready to eat in the morning. This will be a reason in the future we may stay somewhere else.

Check in was easy. Staff were nice and informative. Room was nice and clean. Beds were small but overall a good stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The people who work here are not so friendly. I understand Detroitans have it rough, but hospitality should be a part of their training since they are in fact in the hospitality industry. They should also double check their towels before folding since both our bathrobe and a towel here and there had lipstick on them. Just gives you a gross feeling. They don’t have very many vegan options. They say they do, but had run out of everything in the restaurant. The exercise facility is nice. The room overall was nice but I was fine most of the day for work and it was nice to come to a comfy bed. You have to request housecleaning as well. It’s not automatic.

We just got married and decided to getaway for a long weekend. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The plug by my bedside didn't work and there were no charging stations for USB which was a minor inconvenience. Our room was very clean but quite dated. We loved the huge bathroom!

Place was adequate, would have been better if I went for the casino but it was for a convention. Unlike many hotels, and ones that were far cheaper (but full, alas), they offered no shuttle service of any kind, wouldn’t offer any suggestions (I used Uber). And like other expensive hotels they don’t even give you free coffee in the morning. My advice is to only stay there if you are visiting the casino otherwise find a better deal.

I was hoping for my stay here it would be nice and worth it but it wasn’t…. It was not great. Constant people playing music in the Casino parking lot. Rooms in smoke free reaked of cigarettes and cleanliness was horrid. I actually used the slippers they offered at the hotel. That’s how nasty it was.

We had a three day stay, but had to exchange rooms because the floor was extremely nasty. The floor in the new room was also nasty. We were informed that by motor city casino that they were installing new carpet. However, the view worthwhile.

The carpet in the room and in the common areas was in need of a good cleaning or replacement! My wife did not even want to walk on it in her bare feet. Other than that the room was clean. But the carpet issue made it a not so good experience.

The rooms need a little updating. There were no UBS ports in the room to charge phones, and the TV picture was not good when you selected live TV. The room and beds were comfortable and it was nice having a soaker tub and shower.
