This is a lovely hotel, the pool is fantastic. However the awning over the pool seating area needs to be replaced, when the rain comes you can’t shelter without getting wet as there are holes everywhere with water pouring through. The service at the pool bar was excellent. Service in the waterfront restaurant was hit and miss, we had some fantastic servers and other times we were left for a while without menus or waiting to order. Not a lot around the hotel in walking distance, you need to get taxis really. Very convenient if you are getting the ferry in/out of Trinidad.

Our stay was great, the room was comfortable, the view was so amazing. Customer service was excellent especially our waitress Nadine she made our dining experience one of the best.. My only complaint is that the pool closes at 10 just wished it was opened later because the view was amazing…

Normally stay at The Brix, which I love. However the change and first time experience here at the Hyatt Hotel didn’t disappoint. The customer service experience was superb with equal attention to everyone’s needs, which was refreshing in a country where that kind a greatly lacking. The meals were delish and had tremendous island infusion - not too Americanized. From the front desk to housecleaning, the thoughtfulness, respect and pleasantries were noticed and seemed genuine. My family and I would definitely be back when we come to Trinidad. I’m already sharing the experience with friends and family.

My family and I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad for many years, this vacation stay has been by far the worst experience. . Merline at the front desk needs to be trained on providing adequate customer service experiences to all guests. Upon check in, we were told by Merline that we needed to wait in the lobby for an additional hour to check in or else we would incur an additional night stay fee due to our early check-in. I was appalled by this response due to prior correspondence to the hotel reservations team before our travel. The hotel informed us prior to travel that the front office should be able to honor our early check in without any additional fees due to the low projected occupancy. There were rooms available at the time of check in however Merline simply wanted us to wait for 1 hour before being able check into our rooms. I intend to further escalate to the appropriate avenues however I was disappointed in the treatment we received while staying at this property.

The best hotel location and rooms in Trinidad.

I Loved the convenience of the Cinnamon coffee bar outlet. Breakfast in the restaurant was awesome and the staff was attentive and friendly. I had to change rooms initially because the assigned room had a musty and smoky smell which affected my allergies. Otherwise the room was cozy, quiet and conducive to rest.

This is the best place to stay on the water and close to Ferry Terminal.

Great hotel, and well secured.

Overall a good choice for the stay. Service was on point just a bit slow at times but otherwise good. I do note the hotel is in need of a bit of a refreshing as it doesn't seem anything was done since its opening.

Everything anout our stay was great.

Nice accommodation. Lovely views of mountains and ocean. The bathroom needs an update. Our bathtub was so high and dirty. Housekeeper cleaning is not up to par. Overall, lovely hotel with nice view.

Absolutely hands down the most amazing staff and service. Hyatt you have the most amazing staff that makes every moment priceless.

Convenient location

Did not have much choice with food or drinks

The hotel is beautiful. I loved the safety features in it of using room key to monitoring my basic movements while inside. Staff members were very accommodating and pleasant. And I very much appreciated the room upgrade to ocean view since I arrived there on my birthday. My only complaint is the FLIES, FLIES, FLIES! maybe they could plant some plants/shrubs that deter some of the flies or use Tiki Torches around the outer property.

Great location, just a short walk to the ferry terminal, food and a few sites.

The property is lovely. The staff is friendly. I think that the transportation is a bit high and food can also get costly.
