Lovely hotel, very clean, staff friendly and helpful. We upgraded to an executive room and were very pleased with how spacious it was, having a separate sitting room, which also had a sofa bed. Perfect location for us as we arrived in Liverpool at Lime Street station and the hotel is just around the corner from the station. A tip if you do go by train, when you walk off the platform, turn right and go out of the side exit, then turn right again and the hotel is a short walk up the hill. Don't exit the station by the main front exit/entrance, or you will have to walk all the way down and round which is alot further. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into town and about a 25 minute walk to the docks. Would recommended.

Really love this hotel. Dont judge book by its cover as it is a 1960s monstrosity building. Inside it is great and the staff re so friendly and ultra helpful

A massive carpark BUT its also used by the public as close to the city and is always busy and full ! Had a bit of a wait to get into the carpark really think they should reserve space's for hotel guests! Check in was quite straightforward Stayed a few times so knew the routine! Lift to all floors ,room 658 was a good size as was the bathroom Bed super comfortable. WiFi was good breakfast not included. Very close to the city centre lots of restaurants to choose from Lots of walks and running spots would definitely stay again and recommend 👍

Amazing room, affordable, clean and very well organised.

Stayed here several times now and its perfect whether you are coming in on the train or driving. Just around the corner from lime street station and free oarking if driving. Reception staff always welcoming and friendly. Rooms and corridors clean. We had a very quiet room luckilyat the front of the building . Will be back again

Fantastic, brilliant room breakfast, what more can I say ticked all the boxes Reception easy check in and out.

Because of my wife being unwell, we spent much more time in the hotel room than intended. What a good job that this was one of the best rooms we have stayed in, half the price of London rooms for double the size. We were aware of the announcements from Lime Street station, but given we were on the 5th floor, it was back ground noise. All the staff we had direct contact with were excellent and couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was OK (we didn't have cooked, so can't comment on it). I also ate in the attached bar which was pub food well done.

Good stay unfortunately was on train station side so were woke up early to tannoy

Stayed at the hotel one night just to watch Liverpool. Hotel is 40 minute walk from the ground. No frills hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. Twin beds as well.

The Liner is a fantastic family owned hotel just behind Lime Street station (a hidden gem maybe). The hotel had everything we needed for a night away, the room was well maintained and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you're planning a trip to Liverpool, I'd 100% recommend The Liner for a stay.

Smaller bed than booking stated that we paid extra for and keys didn’t work many times. Had to keep going bk to get keys re programmed just to get into room. Room was clean but overpriced

Great location. Friendly staff. Parking was a huge bonus. Bar and restaurant very good. A little noisy overlooking road. Decor is a bit tired. Mattresses were uncomfortable and need replacing.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and will use again. From first contact with the guys on the carpark through check-in and the breakfast service team to check out and eventually leaving the carpark we met a team of the most welcoming and helpful people.

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, introducing himself by name. I was allowed early check in. The room was immaculate. Would 100% recommend it.

Amazing support from reception over a mix up

Very pleased to be upgraded but couple of observations. There was only 2 normal teabags, quite a serious crack on a bathroom tile, very wonky chair and couldn’t turn down the heating there were 60per mile hour winds so couldn’t open the window that was suggested

Brilliant hotel ,stay here every time we visit Liverpool it's central and great if you come by train.

Nice themed hotel. Great location. We were unlucky being above the function suite which was very noisy on the saturday and we also had noisy neighbours for a couple of nights . We didnt have rate the restaurant experience but the breakfast crew were excellent. Staff in general were very good

We were upgraded on arrival as I informed them it was my partners birthday. That was so nice of them. Room was spotless bed was comfy and view was perfect
