Fantastic hotel with the most friendly staff! Close to beach, harbour and shopping ! Perfect place to stay

The best place to stay in Castellammare! Everything about our stay was perfect. The location is great because the hotel is close to the port, restaurants, the piazza, and beaches. They even offer a shuttle to the beach. The hotel offered a beautiful Sicilian breakfast. The hotel was clean and well decorated. The entire staff was so helpful. Mariella, Francesco, and Marco were so attentive to offer local recommendations. Marco even helped us book a boat trip at the last minute one Sunday! I will definitely be returning to Hotel al Madarig.

Excellent location with parking in front of the hotel. Pleasant and efficient staff. Good breakfast with plentiful selection Lots of good restaurants and bars in the same area.

This is our third time staying at this hotel; I try to bring my wife here for her birthday or our anniversary. The biggest change was the parking situation. In previous years parking was always allowed in front of the hotel. This year there were two parking areas that were split between the hours of the day. So, if you wanted to park for free, you could park in front of the hotel from 8am (0800) to 8pm (2000), and then along the main street for free from 8pm to 8am. This was a massive distraction for persons on vacation wishing to relax. Secondly, I initially booked for three nights but departed following the second night (for other reasons). Likely my own fault for not voicing this with the staff, but it would have been nice to have been refunded the third night, especially as a repeat customer. The hotel itself is really nice. If anything I wish the air conditioning would remove just a tad bit more of the humidity, but we were comfortable enough.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Madarig. The staff was excellent. The front desk clerk taught my 9 year old son an Italian phrase everyday. Above and beyond friendliness. At breakfast a staff member looked out for my son everyday with his decaf cappuccino. The location is fantastic. Convenient to lots of restaurants. We truly enjoyed our stay .

Hotel is locates in an excellent area. All Restaurants are walking distance and beach also close. If you have a car there is also plenty to see and visit around this area.

Good hotel, a bit quaint, but in a good way. Helpful and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done with a smile. Cleanliness was good. Room size ok to good. Breakfast is reasonable, everything you'd want. Great location, very close to beach, and restaurants. In a good area generally. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were greeted very graciously when we arrived & also when we checked out. The only weakness I’d say was the quality of the breakfast. We spent the morning of our final day on a beautiful beach with sunlounger & parasol not far from the hotel. We would stay there again & can recommend it to those visiting the area.

A very central location and walking distance to much of the town. The bed and pillows were a bit firm for our tastes; however, an incredibly fantastic staff.

The tiles in the shower need attention and the flooring around the wardrobe is discoloured. The room was a bit dated. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices, fresh food and lovely coffee.

There was an air conditioning failure in the hotel one night but the staff resolved it as quickly as they could. The breakfast room is light & airy with a great selection of continental breakfast.

the holte is in many ways OK. Its's just that they sell rooms with balcony and seawiev. The balcony is a small strip measureing 30 cm, , no room to sit down, and the sewiew is mostly overlooking a patio, with the sea in the distant. If this is what you are looking for, go elsewhere. Otherways the standars is mostly OK. Wifi, OK, breakfast OK, thoough nothing special. Bed is nice and rather soft, in italians standars, there are good restaurants nearby. will probabbly pick another hotel next time.

This property is located in the quiet part of town but near several restaturants and stores. The marina is a nice 3 -4 minute walk where the locals gather for the catch of the day. The marina has numerous restaurants that offer excellent selections.

Great position in town centre. Excellent breakfast. Only small issue was that wifi was a little variable at times. Otherwise, all excellent.

The hotel was a great base for discovering Erice, Marsala, Segesta, and Palermo. But the best part was the fishing village of Castelemare del Golfo. Our stay was in early June and the summer crowds had not arrived yet, but the town was very walkable and just steps from the hotel. We are coming back! The hotel itself was clean, safe, had some parking, and excellent breakfast. Mariella, Ivan and the other desk staff could not have been more helpful with questions about local restaurants, sights and airport details. Our rooms faced the back courtyard which was good as we like quiet rooms and often nap in the afternoons. The front rooms face the square and the sea. I am sure that there is lots of nightlife there in the summertime which might come with some noise. But our rooms were very comfortable with nice sized showers and bathrooms. Rooms also have safes and good storage for luggage and clothing. There is an elevator as well. Free WiFi which was good. 30 minute and 50 Euro taxi ride to Palermo's airport. We are already planning our return there!

Very comfortable hotel in great position, friendly helpful staff

Easy to find and helpful parking at this pleasant seaside town. Room was clean and bed was comfortable but had expected a bit more, given attractive exterior and pricey compared to other, better hotels on west coast of Sicily. Breakfast was plentiful but not as good as other places we stayed; dining area felt like a works canteen, all self service and even coffee served by machine. All in all, it did the job but felt somewhat underwhelmed by this slightly drab experience, given the price.

The hotel is situated to the side of the Piazza, with the steep steps down to the beach under 100 yards from the hotel door. There is also numerous restaurants within a few hundred yards all very good and friendly. There are three cliff top restaurants one behind the hotel and two in front of the hotel one within sight of the hotel and the other just behind it. There is a golf buggy service for 10.00EUR for 2 people return to a larger beach only minutes away, they recommend you go to Peter Pan Resort and provide a 10% discount card if you use this facility. The Harbour is only a short walk as is the quaint town where you have access to ATM's or countless shops and cafes.

I booked two rooms for a three day/two night stay. One room for my wife and I, and one room for my daughter.

One-night stop to see the north west coast of Sicily. Hotel location was perfect for us, on a square down at the sea. Good restaurants in the area.

Its a three star and B&B only. But the location is very central to Castellammare Del Golfo and the staff are friendly and helpful
