Amazing location right in the middle of everything. Quick check in checkout was very late. You are never gonna sell a breakfast at £20 with a wetherspoons 1 minute away selling theirs for £4.80 though lol

I recently spent a weekend away with my wife at the Radisson Blu in Durham and had an absolutely fantastic time. The hotel is beautifully located by the river, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed excellent food throughout our visit—both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a good variety of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a perfect getaway spot that we’d love to return to!

We stayed in a room overlooking the river costing 180 pounds. Disappointed that there was no fridge or biscuits with the tea but the coffee machine was excellent. Room was spotless and bed was comfortable and loads of room for two. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel in a great location. Room wasn't ready at check in (we arrived after the 2pm check in time) and made to wait nearly half an hour before it was ready, not very good service or communication at check in. Excellent breakfast, lovely helpful restaurant staff. Nice pool and sauna.

Paid for delux room with river view. The room was very basic and in order to see the river we would have had to stand on the tired looking sofa underneath the dorma window. The shower was old and had little or no water pressure. Disappointed overall with the room. The staff were pleasant. Disappointing. Won’t rush back

Close to the centre of Durham not right in the centre within walking distances to restaurants, the castle and cathedral. Durham train station is a little further walking distances away about 15 minutes.

Brilliant time in a brilliant hotel. Knew it was gonna be good when they upgraded us to a junior suite. The room facilities were excellent, the breakfast was amazing and the cleanliness was excellent too. Well done on all counts.

A lot of money for the type of hotel it is,rooms are very travelodge premier inn standards, had to pay for robes and slippers, which you normally get for free at other hotels and on arrival into room there was no slippers, reception staff said they had ran out but still got charged £20, £20 for breakfast in the morning which tbh was the worst hotel breakfast I’ve had everything was overcooked and dry. Never again

Good equipped hotel with great location

Good location. BUT: The room was called cozy ie small. They put a chair under the desk and you couldnt get past it. Wifi was unpredictable. The shower was badly designed and leaked all over the floor. 2 of the staff were quite rude and abrupt. Natasha (at reception) thought she was the bees knees and treated everyone around her, staff and customers, with disdain.

We stayed in a family room and for £200 a night I expected a more superior room. The room was tired, carpets grubby, and a lovely view of the roof and car park. 3* at the very best. A lot of money considering the kids were on a sofa bed, which we had to ask twice for room service to make up!! Breakfast was decent enough and the lobby area has been modernised. Pool was OK.

Excellent stay and staff were so kind and helpful, having made the mistake of booking a different hotel and on arrival it certainly wasn’t as advertised we turned up at The radison blu to see if they had any availability, they did and also gave us a free room upgrade and complimentary parking, thank you for an excellent stay.

Was told we couldn’t use the Spa facility after 12 on day of checking out

Great hotel great location - but provision of Ev charging was poor - only two spaces one which was not working

Lovely location and access to Durham centre. Room was perfect. Barcstaff always excellent; frontvdesk mostly so. The only problem was with EV charging - often both spaces were full and once, a coach had parked across both spaces - we had to find another charger elsewhere.

Really nice hotel for a stay in Durham. Staff are very friendly, busy bar area with good ambience. Excellent location , good parking and comfortable beds. Would happily stay again.

Room smelled of fish

I had ordered prosecco in my room as a surprise for my wife for her birthday but they had forgotten i had to go and ask at reception which did spoil it a little bit.

Overall a good stay in a comfortable room with friendly staff. Check-in is listed as 2pm, we arrived around 12 noon & went in to register our car for the onsite parking (£14 for 24 hours). Reception staff were welcoming & offered luggage storage until check-in. We didn't use this facility. We returned at 2.45 to be told that the room was still not ready, however a complimentary drink voucher was provided for use in the bar while we waited. By the time we had finished our drinks the room was ready. The room was spacious & comfortable with a wonderful view of the river & cathedral. On our second day when we returned from sightseeing around 3pm we were disappointed to find that the room had not been cleaned & made-up (despite the appropriate sign being displayed on the door). A short while later a member of the housekeeping team did arrive to clean the room, but it felt a little hurried & awkward. I can only assume the hotel has a shortage of housekeeping staff which is a shame. Aside from these inconveniences I would have scored 5 stars across the board.
